First and foremost, I don't support or deny anyone's choice of faith. Believe what you want, as long as you are not hurting animals or children, asking for my tax money or knocking on my door trying to convert me....I could care less what you base your existence or belief in. I am constantly reminded on this forum about the evils of Scientology over and over and over again (I am referring to the picture pages...if you want to do it here in this section where anything goes, go ahead). Loonies, weirdos, murderers, cheats, cult....you name it, they have been demonized any way you can think. My question is this, how long would this rhetoric be put up with if the same were being said about Jews? What about Christians? Catholics? Muslims or Mormons? No matter what "faith" someone believes in, all at some point were invented by it's disciples and all have committed acts of murder, brain-washing, racism and theft. In every holy book (Bible, Koran, Talmud) one can find preachings of bigotry, animosity, intolerance or injustice. I personally don't believe in any religion and if I wanted to read hatred or prejudice, there are hundreds of forums dedicated to that. I'm sure they have several Scientology hater forums online...go spout off there. Better yet, with all the energy some of you waste on this board educating us about the evils of L. Ron Hubbard, you could have created your own Scientology haters club. I come here to see high quality pictures of hot ass babes. SP is the best forum on the net, bar none. It seems a shame that it should be tarnished by some of the vile venom spitting that goes on about Scientology and their believers.

1. I'm German. And in Germany and many other countries Scientology isn't a religion. They are anticonstitutional.

That is where I disagree. This sort of talk about those other religions DOES occur. I would know, I start a lot of it. I go out of my way to tear down the walls of organized religion at every turn. As far as the comparison goes though, Scientology lends itself to ridicule more than other religions because it's based on an even more ridiculous premise than Christianity or Islam. Sure, I know, it comes down to my-magical-guy-can-beat-up-your-magical-guy, but at the same time, the volcano....xenu...all that crap is even more fantastic and ridiculous than merely believing that a guy was nailed to a couple of pieces of wood or united the Arab tribes in Medina.

What's interesting about this statement is that it's said immediately following "First and foremost, I don't support or deny anyone's choice of faith". I think that when you ridicule, try to tear down or mischaracterize someone's faith, you're doing exactly that. You're trying to deny them their faith. Sure, you're not blocking churches or boarding up synagogues, but you're tearing down the fabric of their faith by trying to invalidate it. Clearly you have issues with religion because you have gone out of your way to explain why you don't believe in it. What I don't understand is why you would, in the same breath, try and defend it. I think you need to decide fully where you stand on religion. Are you for it, or against it? Once you decide, then we can have healthy religious debate. But taking both sides is sometimes a difficult prospect.

In regards to Scientology, I think it speaks for itself. If people research the background of the founder of Scientology and the real reasons why he created Scientology, and they STILL want to devote there time and money to this thing, then have at it. It's a free country.
