She actually did not do very well in this event- she fell once, popped (went in the air but did not rotate) another jump and singled a triple axel attempt.

I believe this was just an exhibition event, so it should have been pressure-free. I think Kimmie just had an off-night or maybe it's just getting back into the swing of things after the off-season. Every skater seemed to have some issues and I think it can be attributed to that.

As for Emily she did fine. Sasha also popped a jump but otherwise did good.

Hey ACT, one more Kimmie question if I may ... Do you happen to know when/where this interview happened? This is my all-time favorite pic of Kimmie, because she looks so relaxed and confident with her arm resting on the back of the chair. I would love to see a video of this interview.

That video must have been during the 2006 US National Championships this January. Not 100% sure but 90% definitely.

If there's a video of it I must have it somewhere. Unfortunately I haven't the time to dig it out and convert it so I can upload it. But hopefully the pics suffice for you guys.

Most of the figure skating on TV is on ESPN or ABC. The Campbells was a competition but some of the skaters were trying out new programs in competition for the first time. There was a lot of sloppy skating. But, hey...its early in the season.
