Answer: It was established in 1948 by the New Towns (Scotland) Act... apart from a couple of tiny hamlets it was a green-field site until then. It's also home to a recently-built warehouse for Amazon.co.uk

Answer: Not really... though my own cooking can be a bit strange at times!

7) If we were to go there on vacation, what's the one thing you'd want us to see or do?
Answer: There are some historic villages, notably Falkland and Culross, fairly near and worth a visit. It would also probably be best to visit while the world-famous Edinburgh Festival (& Fringe) is on, as the city is within easy reach across either the Forth rail (a magnificent tribute to Victorian engineering) or road bridges

Also the birthplace of actor Dougray Scott, currently appearing in Desperate Housewives with a bizarre accent that would get him laughed at locally
