Does anyone know go a video editor besides Windows Media Live. Apparently there is something wrong with the newer versions. Also, because of the larger file sizes that are required for things like HD vids; my internet keeps dropping and and i have to start all over again. Is there a download manager and accelerator that you guys can recommend?

What exactly are you trying to do with your videos, and what type of videos are they? Unless you have access to a professional-level video editor costing hundreds or thousands of dollars, you will have to make due with FREEware. FREE software generally only will handle one type of video. You would need a different piece of software for every type of video.
Let us know what type of video you work with.

Also, working with HD vids shouldn't have any bearing on your internet connection OP, unless you are streaming/downloading from a website and trying to edit them at the same time or your PC isn't up to scratch for HD vids?
