Republican's can't do anything better than use something Obama said out of context during a bigger speech.

That said, LOL@Romney completely looking like a tool by naming people who have publicly said government works paved their way and Jobs, who was a marketing man.
But when Dems do it, they either: a) Deny, deny, denigrate, demonize... or b) Justify it with "Republicans do it".

Lol, any person with even a basic grasp of the English language knows what Obama meant in that speech.
I'd be embarrassed as a Romney supporter to think his campaign is now so desperate it's clinging to blatantly dishonest crap like that. I've seen more sophisticated politics at primary school student council elections.

Everyone knows what he meant. Problem is--or would be if MR wasn't an incompetent--what he meant is still stupid.
And Romney couldn't even capitalize on it. Even with the compartmentalized excerpt, he screwed it up. That, plus the recent gaffes overseas, I think this guy's people skills are up there the Hulk.

Funny, I thought it was a inspiring little speech which highlighted the interdependence that I believe characterises a healthy society. And it was nice to hear Obama speaking about something like he really meant it. I guess we're coming from completely different political perspectives.

It could be healthy in a different place with a different government. I'm not inherently opposed to Public and Private working together to build a stable economic platform. Problem is ours in America get along as well as the FBI and CIA.
The US government has shown time and time again to be completely inept at business. Certain folks in the private sector have shown time and time again that they're ready and willing to exploit anything given. Obama's speech sounded to me to be more like the alcoholic relative who always has a business proposal and THIS time it'll work they've got their act together.

"But" implies that there's some contradiction, though obviously there isn't. It also could imply that one side is worse than the other, or that one does things the other does not, specifically, ah, immoral acts, if that's what you're thinking.
Both sides take stuff out of context and both sides do it in particular ways, none of them particularly admirable, lest your partisanship lead you to leave that out.
And also, fundamentally, i.e. deep down, it makes little difference when a person says one side is simply worse than other, as opposed to saying one side is all bad and the other is all good. The mentality is more or less the same.

Looking down upon the Arrow with which it had been pierced, it found that the shaft of the Arrow had been feathered with one of its own plumes. "Alas!" it cried, as it died,
"We often give our enemies the means for our own destruction."
