Almost one year into the DC reboot. What are the strong points? What are the weak points? And what are the biggest mistakes?

Similarly, on the eve of Marvel now, what are the things most looked forward to?

As far as DC goes, the biggest successes have been the Batman line, Aquaman, GL, Wonder Woman, and the entire horror line. Another bit of success has come in the form of Earth 2 and World's Finest.

The weak points are definitely the books that got changed the most, like Superman and The Flash. I know it sounds odd to throw the Flash in, but that's honestly a book that's making it on amazing art alone, because the last fill-in issue was just so bland and boring. And Superman is just screwed right now.

Weirdly enough though, a weak point can be found in the strong series, in that the reboot was not even needed for most of them. All they got out of the deal was a #1.

Sure, Earth 2 and World's Finest are exceptions, but at the same I can see those books working without the reboot as well. The concept of Earth 2 is strong enough to co-exist along side the Justice Society, or at least the idea of legacy heroes.

As for Marvel NOW!, really looking forward to Uncanny Avengers, Avengers by Jonathan Hickman and All-New X-Men.

Batman and Green Lantern really weren't affected by the reboot. For the most part it was unnecessary, but got allot of attention. The main disappointment for me is Batgirl, I was really enjoying Bryan Miller's run and this new version just bored me.

And DC refuses to bring Stephanie Brown back. She and Wally West are persona non grata.

I'd like to see them bring her back as spoiler with a cross between the two costumes.

Dropped Action Comics and on the verge of dropping Flash.

Flash will be harder, as I love the Rogues and LOVE the art. But Barry Allen isn't someone I want to read about.

In an odd move considering how much he's been pushed lately, Marvel cancels its Thanos mini series before it's even published.

I just ordered the Strange Girl Omnibus, I've not read a single issue but if Remender's X-Force run is anything to go by it should be good.

Biggest miff I have about the reboot thing is Robin's new costume. Big fan of the Red Robin series and having a comic following him and a whole other bunch of young teen heroes, well that got me all "yeah, I can go for that". Then I saw his costume, with all those sweetly decorative feathers and I went from to WTF are those things. Silly enough to cut the title from my to-buy list.

Flash has until the annual to hook me. it got a brief reprieve with use of the Rogues, as they have personality in comparison to Barry Allen.
