Kristen Stewart has issued a public apology to her boyfriend of three years, Robert Pattinson, following claims she cheated on him with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” the 22-year-old Twilight star said in a statement to People.

at least it was just the director she was apologizing for, and not the 7 dwarfs.

Her actions could affect the box office of the final film, seeing as though (iiuc) the whole saga is about their deep love for each other. Surely the movie makers should be able to sue her for any loss of income, since her actions were deliberate and could easily have been predicted to hurt the $100+mill(?) movie.

I think the makers should have the right to add into the contracts a clause which says something like "you won't do anything to hurt the films box-office". And splitting up in real life with your love interest in the film, well that would defn fall into "hurting the movie" area. (or something like that). BY all means break up, just don't announce it until after the movie has had its run in the theaters.

(though maybe this just wouldn't work).

Isn't her co-star in the film Chris Hemsworth? And her real life love interest that she's splitting with Robert Pattinson?


Whatever ... It's really easy for an actor to become involved with someone from his/her current film/tv project. After all, they spend 6 days a week, 10-16 hours per day together. Kristen's ... what, 22? That's pretty young. A lot of women that age become attracted to older, powerful men. Dozens of movies per year are made about it. That's how guys like Harrison Ford, Sean Connery, and Bruce Willis are still making romantic movies.

Now it all falls on Pattinson. If he feels strongly enough for her, he may be able to forget this. If not, that's it for them.

There would be no way to enforce such a clause.

In the end, it's mutually beneficial. Actors typically get a cut of the BO and of course a higher BO = more work.

... makes me wonder if movie studios are ever reluctant to hire a couple to play a couple in a movie, just in case the couple do break up which results in the movie bombing - though I ain't gonna wonder 'bout that for very long.
