Under the Boardwalk: The Story of Monopoly
This was actually kind of fun. The history of the game is interesting and they follow a few players on the way to the National and eventually WORLD championships. It made me want to start playing, because I figure I got as good a shot as anyone at winning tournaments of Monopoly. Some of the people are ludicrous. Like Ken Khoury who refers to this other fella as a "cheater" and "unsavory character" and he doesn't even know the guy. Ken also published a book on Monopoly strategies which cracks me up considering how he does in this film.
Special When Lit
A doc on pinball machines. I loved going to the arcade, so I can feel the nostalgia when these guys start talking about the good ol' days...but god damn is this a sorry looking bunch. Nearly all of them have the same hair cut and clothing style that they wore when they were a 16 year old punk 30-40 years ago and I just...feel bad for some of them. I know some of them are happy, but I can't help but wonder what the hell they're missing out on by being INSANELY obsessed with pinball machines. Then again I think, there's 7 billion people on the planet, I'm sure it doesn't matter if some of them are losers living in the past. I mean, I love to play a good pinball game as much as anyone, and I've got my obsessions, but some of these guys just make me depressed.

My Neighbor Totoro
Considering this is from 1988 the animation has really held up and is beautifully done. I like the Totoro. What is he a big spirit rabbit? I also liked the cat bus
