So I caught Destination X on Challenge last night;

Oh man was that ever an awesome show.

Anyway, onto the show as a whole. JB was fantastic, and I'd prefer he and Tenay do commentary all the time since Taz has been on auto-pilot since about 2 months after he joined the company. The opening 4-way was a pretty good showcase of moves. Jigsaw looked great throughout out, and Only's jumping sorta-piledriver with the feet thing on him was great. Scorpio Sky's TKO was impressive too.

Kash was a tremendous prick in his match. Just a great heel performance. This kind of exposed a weakness in Mason Andrews, as I don't feel like he was good enough to reach the crowd with his selling and gain sympathy. It's insanely hard, and it's not like he was terrible, but it's something he should study. It could have made this match a lot better than it was, and the match was still pretty good. The finishing run was really well done, and the flukey roll up was a good call. I'm kind of bummed Kid Kash won't be in involved with the title, since he did such a great job, but, hey, TNA is giving people some chances and you can't criticize them for that.

Joe's promo with Christy's tits was good.

Loved seeing Douglas Williams back on PPV. Kinda surprised TNA didn't have King change his ANX twtiter handle. Loved JB talking about NWA Wildside. Williams was so great here - made me want to see him face Finlay. King's fireman's carry uranage didn't look nearly as good here as it did on Impact, but I'm glad King won.

Poor Rashad Cameron had Sonjay land on his gut and nuts during the moonsault double stomp. Sick-looking finish there. Loved Rashad pouting at Earl earlier for not counting 3.

The Football Boy video was outstanding - he's got a nice-looking GF. I was surprised that he got as good a reaction as he did - complete with some nice signs and everything since they didn't really mention him at all in the build to this. Ion beat Flip Fuckface in an OK match. Loved Ion getting the fuck out of the way before the shooting star ass drop could come anywhere near him - his snap Gory special drop looked great. Better than that reverse DVD-facebuster thingy.

Joe-Angle was better than their recent Impact match, and felt more like classic Joe than anything he's done in a while, including his tag matches with Magnus. Loved the super-slow Angle slam only getting a 2, and Joe actually winning, and doing so in a way that made him look better than Angle. Made him pass out with the choke. I was impressed to see Angle do a missile dropkick off the top, and couldn't believe Joe did a flying leg lariat off the top.

AJ and Daniels have had five billion matches over the past decade, and they somehow managed to have one that seemed different. It is probably my favorite AJ Styles singles match ever. I was looking forward to the match the least, and once they cut away from the cutesy wrestling bullshit and Daniels started punching AJ in the face, it just got better and better. Instead of just doing movez~!, they focused on beating the shit out of each other. It's a shame they didn't really do a better job setting up WHY this needed to be a last man standing match, because in that sense, it was kind of a waste of the stip. The thud Daniels' head made off the moonsault DDT on the ramp was sick. Loved Kaz knocking AJ off the ramp and AJ just flinging himself off the ramp as far as he possibly could. Clash off the ramp was a hell of a finish - sure beats getting kicked in the ass through a table. I liked the little live Twitter deal they did throughout the show - it looked really well done and made for a decent way to fill time and build up matches.

The Ultimate X was better than the one they did on TV, but definitely way below the standards of the best matches in its history. Can't believe Sonjay came back after the shoulder injury - he's a tough dude, and hopefully that led to him getting a renewed permanent gig with the company. He was absolutely insane to climb to the top of the lighting rig and walk on it with basically only one arm to keep himself steady. When he and Ion slugged it out on top, you could actually see the metal X structure moving around a bit. Absolutely terrifying spot. The hairspray in the eyes on top of the X rope leading to Sonjay bumping off of it was also scary. Glad to see Ion get the title, and I hope Sonjay, Kenny King and Jigsaw earned themselves regular roster spots. Ion's post-match promo was great, although I can't be the only one who wanted to stab those cunts behind Ion during his post match who started chanting "TRANSITION!" & "FRUITY PEBBLES!" at him? I LOLed Christy sending it back to "Mike and Taz".

The main event was fucking belting. Two wrestlers who played their roles perfectly and put on a cracking match. I loved it. Never been so happy for a finish of a wrestling match in ages. The right man definitely won. Aries has had star stamped on him since about February. I thought if he lost here (which I was 90% sure he was going to) it might have had the same flat feeling as when Roode lost to Angle. But they got this spot on. He was built up so much and he performed so well, that a loss might have been really bad. I hope AJ Styles gets those points up in the BFG series. AJ Styles vs Austin Aries would be incredible.

Last year's D-X show underdelivered, while this one greatly exceeded my expectations in part due to about half the card not being known beforehand. I'm actually glad they're doing that 7 PM Impact pre-show because it's a great way for them to really make this win seem like an even bigger deal without needing to take up Impact's TV time to do it.

I wonder if the reaction to the Jeff Hardy vs. James Storm match last Thursday had any impact on Aries winning the belt? Storm came off looking really bad with the fans totally against him when he wrestled against a real star. Aries carries himself far better as a babyface as well. And Hogan's obviously high on him. Hogan doesn't put people over onscreen if he doesn't.

They don't need the belt in the Roode and Storm feud. Aries is way more over than Storm is. TNA has two PPVs left until Bound For Glory. A rematch with Roode at the next PPV (Sacrifice is it?) is all you need. No Surrender doesn't need to have a title match on it. The World champion could be the observer for the night. Just have him do an interview, maybe commentary for the final bout and then come out in a suit come out at the end and have the PPV end with the Champ holding the belt aloft as they have a stare down with the BFG Series winner to create anticipation for the main event of Bound For Glory. Nobody should be getting a title shot before Bound For Glory without earning it anyway. Aries only got a title shot because he beat everyone for a full year and gave up his X title. Roode you could explain by saying he is getting a title shot through his rematch clause. You can't justify, say, Gunner getting a title shot at No Surrender, after 12 men have fought for months trying to earn a title shot. If it was up to me, I'd have Roode get his rematch and whoever is the champion should sit out the Bound For Glory Series Playoffs.

They're probably still looking at Storm vs. Roode, for Bound For Glory. I see no reason why they can't have a No Holds Barred match without the title, with Storm finally destroying Roode. Have AJ Styles win the BFG Series (with Roode stopping Storm from winning in the Play Offs).

Bully Ray vs. Abyss, Sting and Hogan (possibly with JJ, who then turns heel during the match, revealing he was behind the attacks all along, ala Hogan at BatB) vs. The Bikers, AJ vs. Aries and Roode vs Storm sounds like a awesome card. Or even Angle vs. Aries. Thats never been done. I think they should definitely keep running with Aries, though. Aries vs. Hardy even. There's loads of people he'd tear it up with. For me at the moment, the best wrestler needs the belt. And currently, he's got it.

The situation with Kia Stevens (Kharma) and WWE seems like it was a mistake somebody made on the web site as she's been removed from the Alumni section and put back in the active wrestler section.

There is likely more to this story than a simple screw up given her response on Twitter about being promoted to the alumni section. There are a number of different versions going around within the company as to her status but nothing is official.

I wonder whats going on here. I'm not a computer expert, but it takes a big series of oversights and a big coincidence to move a bio from one section to the "sacked" section of the website. Especially if that person is rumoured to be getting the sack soon. The talk on the online street is that they are going to sack her and someone jumped the gun and took her profile off the roster page.

Charlie Sheen has screwed many things and now you can add Vince McMahon to that list. Charlie Sheen has been promoted for weeks on WWE TV as the "Social Media Ambassador" for WWE's 1000th Episode of RAW but now Charlie Sheen has announced that he has decided to quit Twitter.
