i'll start the news off by saying the Tampa Bay Lightning have agreed to a 2 year 2 way contract with former Lightning goalie Riku Helenius. we wanted him back since he played so well while in Finland. he's getting another chance. i'm happy with this.
more Lightning news, it is official: the Norfolk Admirals who just won the Calder Cup will no longer be the affiliate of the Lightning. the players will switch sweaters and move to Syracuse, New York to be the Syracuse Crunch

It would SUCK if another lockout happens.
Zach Parise has said he wouldn't join the Rangers. Putting together a trade for Rick Nash may be their best bet to add scoring. If it were me, I would be willing to give up Dubinsky, McIlrath, and Tim Erixon. Kreider however I would not trade away. He showed a lot during the playoffs and could be a great piece on this team for a long time.

I think they want to try to avoid a lockout, but if one happens, I don't expect it to cancel the whole season. Here's hoping we can avoid it all together.

This is what I'm expecting too. My main concern right now is how the CBA is going to effect this offseason. Teams are expected to operate normally, but they have no idea what the salary cap might be coming out of a new CBA agreement. If someone makes a big run at Ryan Suter or Zach Parise, they might end up in cap hell.

that would be Tampa Bay. we've got the man on our radar and are ready to get him signed. we need the salary cap to go up (to $70.3m IIRC) as rumored to help us out with that a bit though
