I thought about putting this in the current shows forum, but in short time it all fits here. There are shows here that were much hyped and didn't meet it, so they're gone. Many of these got a real quick axe (like GCB: their failure with Desperate Housewives ending lets Revenge move to Sundays next season). These days, it's "show me in 2 episodes or you're gone!" When I was a kid, they at least gave a show a full season to try and find an audience.
This is the best and most informative list I found. From pazsaz.com (who?).

'are you there Chelsea' was really good...and stands out on this list as one that should have gotten a second season...if not just for being funny and empowering women who just do the frick they want to, at least they should have given Laura Prepon another season just for giving us 'Hot Donna'.
They missed the boat on this one...no wonder NBC is a joke network lately..I hope a cable channel picks it up a la 'Southland'.
'Napolean Dynamite' was ok...
I'll bet Rosie O'Donnell is sitting in her multi-million dollar mansion going 'Whew..thank goodness I hit TV in the '90s,and made a fortune with the inane 'Chub Club' and desks made out of candy bars before anybody wised up....ie..she's lucky this wasn't her first show at TV.

At least one worthy thing on the list is Wizards of Waverly Place. Disney Channel has a lot of great shows that would get a wider audience if they weren't just on cable and satellite. WoWP just sort of ended its 4-year run. No series on that channel lasts for more than a few years: the teen and tween stars get too old for the shows.
As for Rob Schneider, I think that he is best used in a supporting role, like in Judge Dredd and Demolition Man.

It's weird that in a season where empowered women were all over the place (2 Broke Girls, Revenge, etc.), this show didn't make it. I have to admit I didn't see a single episode, though. Maybe the show didn't make it because it was on NBC -- which is now the FOURTH rated network on TV. They haven't gotten any better since Comcast bought into them.

Thanks for your comment..you brought up a very good point: I remember it was on at 8:30pm, and I had to DVR it along with more than one other, so I had to watch one show on HD - ie..I split my cable to give me the channels picked up by my TV, and DVR two other 8-9pm shows while watching the other one away from 'cable'
Point being, it was up against stiff competition, likely at best 3rd in the timeslot, and I had to work to DVR it with the other stuff on, and keep to the '2 shows DVR'd at a time' rule.
Now I know exactly why it was cancelled. Timeslot killed it.

Yeah, at 8:30 on that night I'm watching Suburgatory and nothing else -- unless there's an ice hockey game on. And I don't have a DVR.

Uh huh..I thought it was Weds. I'd watch Survivor live... while taping Suburgatory (Cheryl Hines and the Dentist crack me up), and 'Chelsea'.
So to be even more succinct...Survivor only plays twice a year, and NBC was Brain-dead putting 'Chelsea' within those 10 or so weeks of a Survivor season, and with the new shows.
