Corporations, unions, is there really a difference anymore? Artificial bodies fighting each other with collective money. Good for them.
Unions ideally represent the people and made up of those people. While a corporation is led by a small group of people for the most part. And the corporate wigs have far much more money that unions.

Only an idiot would blame fundraising on this one.
In WI the job situation has improved. I don't credit Walker for that but all the same. Whoever's in office gets the credit or blame. The perception of the public sector is not a good one, so no, the outrage of a few wasn't going to overturn the votes.
There was no reason to think the original result wouldn't be repeated. Waste of time and money for all involved. The unions would have been better off donating that money to the pensions of the people they're supposed to be helping.
Did you really expect the GOP to lay down and let the unions pour millions into this and let them win? If it were the other way around, there would be tinking of wine glasses from the left.
Exactly my point, man. Instead of stroking out at the idea of paying a percentage of your own medical and retirement, like plenty of other folks do, maybe question just what your union dues are being used for. Check out what kind of benefits your delegates are receiving.
Meanwhile the school taxes increase year after year forcing people out and the unions are advising boards to release younger teachers. Millions are spent here in PA on politics. PA is a forced-union state and 21K of our teachers money went to Wisconsin. They don't represent the workers anymore and haven't for a long time.
See? The system works! ...unless you were on the losing side. Then "democracy died". lol...
Actually, recall elections are very seldom successful; we should probably consider it more the re-election of an incumbent that the triumph of a specific issue, in which case it ran very true-to-form. The various advantages of incumbency are difficult to overcome for any challenger.
And goodness, were the polls ever off! I thought I was hearing a dead heat as late as a couple days before the vote.
