I fully support this idea.

100? 200? 8,000,000? Who says anyone will be around at any of those numbers? We do have lives outside of this place, you know.
Of course you do. That's not the point. The point is that 100 was always an arbitrary number anyways, and the reason for it no longer really exists. So why not just relax it a bit and make it easier for everyone?

He's proposing to halve the number of times you mods have to scurry around creating new Chat threads when there is really no need to stop at 100 anymore, and it's not changed to such an extreme that it becomes anymore of an encumbrance to the forum.
My two cents, although I appear to be repeating most of what Cutlass just said.

Just a small grammar nazi type thing, should take about 3 seconds to fix if anyone's interested.
On the main page in the forum descriptions, there's an extra space before the period:
Code:
<div class="forumdescript">
For female Singers/Musicians, i.e.: Avril Lavigne, Cheryl Cole, JoJo, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift .
</div>
That affects sections A-F, G-K, L-O, P-Z, Models/Athletes, and Singers/Musicians.
Not a huge deal, but due to the size I have my browser window set at, the description for Singers/Musicians wraps the period and only the period onto the second line, which looks dreadful.
Well, okay, maybe not dreadful, but mildly annoying.
^ disregard if you've done that on purpose for some reason...

In the past, risque content has been allowed to a limited degree, but the main argument against it has been that google would pick up on it and it might affect ad revenue and placement. By placing this content in the spoiler tags, it would prevent google from picking up on the content. This would keep this content isolated to the chat threads themselves.
This doesn't have to be a slippery slope argument, we would only allow this content in the chat thread, to which 90% of the forum would be oblivious anyways.
I hope that you take time to seriously consider this rule change, and not just dismiss it because 'this is the way it's always been'. Because it hasn't always been this way.

It wasn't done on purpose, but those are the sections that I changed the descriptions for last year. It's easy to adjust it though, so I've now removed the spaces

Thank you in advance,

Even though chat threads usually get deleted shortly after they reach 100 pages lurkers do still look in them and in the past we've had complaints because someone has seen stuff in there that shouldn't have been on the forum at all. It's the owners decison not to have certain content on this forum so unfortunately there's nothing that we can do about it
