Don't think he'll survive next week's double elimination, though . . . with Melissa probably joining him. But, she apparently jumped both Roshon & Jaleel with the voters this time, so it's certainly not a lock.
Ah, the good ole conspiracy theory. Keep the Disney star on for as long as you can. I've been suspicious of these new judging rules from the beginning. Why take away America's vote for who should go home and turn it over to the judges? It certainly can't be a ratings ploy. The viewers stick around to see their favorites proceed in the competition. You would think taking that priviledge away would decrease viewership.
As for the votingm, I guessed correctly that it was going to be Roshon, based on him being the youngest and least known star, having to go up against someone in the competition with the least dancing ability and number of votes. To say "someone with the least dancing ability" this year is kinda tough, because they've all been good. But I too thought that it was going to be Melissa instead of Jaleel. Both of them have had their ups and downs, but then you'd have to factor in the "celebrity" factor. Just how many people remember Melissa as Laura Ingalls versus Jaleel as Steve Urkel. I'm not sure about syndication these days, but I'm sure that either Little House on the Prairie or Family Matters are still being played somewhere in this world.
All this being said I can probably tell you that in the next couple weeks Melissa will be the next to go, followed by Roshon, and maybe Donald Driver. This will lead up to a finale of Marie Menounous, Katherine Jenkins, and William Levy, with probably Katherine Jenkins going home. And you know what this leads to! A battle between multi time champions Derek Hough and Cheryl Burke. AND YOU ALL KNOW WHO I'LL BE VOTING FOR THEN
Agree on the likely three finalists . . should be excellent with all three pros being multi-winners (Mark Ballas has also won twice) . . Maria seems to have been the favorite from the get-go, but Katherine should and deserves to win . . as much as I love Cheryl, William is probably odd man out
As far as letting the judges make the final decision these past few weeks, I don't see that as a big deal (other than the apparent favortism toward Roshon). After all, at worst they were saving the least popular dancer at the expense of the second least popular--before reaching the final six. It's not like they were picking the third finalist.

O.K...if this stops at the final 6 then I'm perfectly fine with it. I'd still love to see Cheryl win. Its been kind of a drought for her. She needs to tie Derek for the most wins!
Yep . . Roshon had some skill but little public support (evidenced by falling from second with the judges to the final two twice). Melissa had a lot of public support, but not enough skill.
Barring Maria or Katherine coming undone, the only question next week will be whether Donald or William is the third finalist.

I have to disagree with you on Katherine being in the finals. You have to keep in mind who the female viewers want to see the most. Which male do the female viewers want to keep in the competition. So last night they get rid of the youngsters Roshon and Chelsea, as well as Maks and Melissa. Katherine being in the bottom 3 clearly shows that she's getting really close to being booted. Keep in mind that Mark is a 2 time champion. And Maks has been with the show forever. So the female viewership probably doesn't care as much for keeping them on. They're more interested in the new "meat" in Donald or William. I'M A GUY AND JESUS THAT FELT WEIRD SAYING THAT! But its true. Derek has been with the show forever as well, so the female viewership is keeping him on not just for his teams great dancing skill, but for the sentimental factor as well.
And you have to factor in Katherine's celebrity factor. Do the female voters really care about a classical singer who nobody really knows. To some she might appear as just another blonde with big boobs. That might translate into a loss of votes which might go over to either William or Donald. Hunky guys who the ladies might be more in favor of.
So it wouldn't surprise me if next week either Donald or William get to stay on while Katherine gets sent home.
