There is one part where they are both fighting out of a mutual 3/4 Nelson and you just assume there will be a flash and both will ascend to World Of Sport Heaven.
Seriously, go watch it NOW!
Some seriously old school stiff shoot style wrestling here! Didn't know that an elevated armbar was called a Jim Breaks Special. And the double chicken wing by Street! Great match!
Of all the problems with TNA, that was THE ONE THING that could've been fixed immediately, and it took them FUCKING YEARS to do so. It looked like shit and the wrestlers (bar the few X-Div guys who had prevous experience working for AAA) looked uncomfortable running the ropes. Plus when they put the cage on it, there was no give at all ... it looked like running into a brick wall. It's a ridiculous concept. Four-sided rings were around before WWE and they'll be around long after WWE. TNAs 'it's sets us appart from the WWE' arguement was fucking weak too. Almost all other promotions use four-sided rings and they aren't compared more so to WWE because of it.
Steel Cage Match for the WWF Tag Team Championship The Steiner Brothers vs. Money Inc. (WWF RAW 22.8.1993)
When I first saw this match, it blew my mind. I really like how it's very different to a regular Steiner match with almost no suplexes or throws and it constantly looked like all four guys were trying to escape. The finish is really hot too.
