Agree with Wes, #2 over #1. Though maybe you should revisit #3 or do the Dr. Chakwas/Dr. Michel/"seemingly 75% of the females in the ME universe" style.
For my first play through, I actually did use option 2, which was fine for the most part but it did start to bother me that Shep would have a few strands of hair that never ever moved. So when I fired up the new game+, I changed to the first hairstyle. Hating it now, it looks better in the creation screen than it does in action.
I used Choice 3 in ME1 and ME2 and it looked good, it just doesn't look that good anymore in ME3(In-Game). Choice 2 seems to be the popular Choice followed by Choice 1. Shame we can't have hair Styles like Ashley, Miranda or even Allers as a Default choice.
What we see in the CC does not match in-game model. Don't know how many times I Restarted ME1 until I was happy with what I created.
Why couldn't they do something like Saint's Row: The Third. The strains of Hair infront Moves. Saint's Row does CC right. I really wish I could use Default Female Shepard Hair with Freckles. But no those are exclusive to only Default Female Shepard.
It looks like I'll be going with Choice 2, The strings of hair infront bothers me a bit. Plus Shepard get's hit with bombs and explosions but the strings hair infront never moves once.
Mass Effect 3's Extended Cut will expand the game's endings with "a sense of personalisation" specific to your playthrough.
Saved your favourite characters? Killed everyone? BioWare suggests you'll be offered more chances to see the consequences of your actions on the game's finale.
"We wanted to give the players a sense of personalisation with the endings," producer Mike Gamble revealed during the Mass Effect 3 panel at PAX East. "Many people mentioned that some of the choices they made in the game are not necessarily reflected in the ending scenes. We're definitely going to focus on things like that.
"We want to make sure that when you see the ending of Mass Effect, you now have the information and context to be satisfied."
BioWare is still targeting the "generic summer" launch window previously announced for the free expansion, but said the add-on will offer a decent amount of content. "It's more than just a few cinematic scenes," Gamble added.
"We're currently building it right now, our cinematics team is on it. Our writers are heavily involved. It's coming together."
Gamble reiterated BioWare's previous stance that the new content would not "re-imagine" the current ending or add a new one. So why wasn't the Extended Cut part of the game already?
"The dev team stands by what was released in the core product, and we're very proud of it," Gamble concluded. "It was important though for us to listen to the community, and a lot of that feedback didn't come until the game came out. Once we were listening we decided to include the extended cut. It wasn't in the game because we didn't know there was such a huge demand for it, to be honest with you."

So is the indoctrination theory officially dead yet? Nothing I have read about this ending dlc indicates that the indoctrination theory could be correct.
I read a bit about the theory before I finished the sp game so I viewed the current ending with an open mind, but I don't think indoctrination really fits. A pity, since Bioware could have made a great ending out of it.

It was dead before it even started. Fans just refused to accept "The Truth" about the Ending.
None of the Original, Leaked Script or even cut Ending ever pointed to a Indoctrinated Shepard. Fans were Gasping at things that never existed.

I always hated the indoctrinated as it made the endings mess worse for me they said this game gives closure before it came out now yea they lied on a lot but to do that as an ending make it all a dream would have killed it plus its to much like dallas where they had a whole season as a dream
plus the whole idea of the reapers indoctrinate you and they let you sit there and have a day dream just does not fit the reapers
I am still hoping for a dlc with more face and hair options or its just another promise that bioware broke the whole we will have long hair like mirandas and ashleys in the game for you without modding

so far the only way to get those is modding
I honestly don't understand Bioware's limited options for Character Creation in all of their games.
I can forgive KOTOR and Jade Empire being older generation games. But with Mass Effect, Dragon Age and SWTOR...what the hell? I mean sure we can use sliders for the face fine. But hair options? Facial accents? Unique features?
This is especially noticeable in SWTOR when you run across several characters an hour, PC's and NPC's, that look hauntingly similar to you, if not your twin.
Take a lesson from Saint's Row Bioware. And they don't even have nearly the budget Bioware has having EA behind them.

I was fine with Dragon Age 2 Selection, My Female Hawke was amazing. ME2 or ME3 never added any new hair styles(in CC) since ME1. They just updated the textures for the hair.

and they did a piss poor job of that I used the hair style with the ponytail and the bits of hair hanging down in front and if you look behind the ears its a big time mess its all blured and messed up not sure what the techincal word for the error is
