A Train and Del Rio are pretty solid workers, just because they are different than the norm doesn't make them bad. People bitch about new stars being made, and they try, and all people do is bitch again.

The entire story of the "former WWE superstar who goes over to Japan and dominates" is a bunch of crock. Its freak'n Albert! Everybody knows it! I'm surprised that the crowd doesn't chant "Albert!" And now I see that his so-called "worshipper" is getting involved in matches. So I guess when Tensai starts wrestling in PPVs he'll be needing the help of his worshipper in order to win matches.

On the other hand, Tensai is now starting to spray the mysterious green mist. Pretty cool having Cena get blinded and start screaming for water. I wonder if they'll start making that mist deadly and perhaps have Cena go blind.

RAW

Punk vs. Henry was nowhere near the MOTYC they had before. It was alright, like, but it was nothing on the Miami match. The Punk/Jericho stuff afterwards was Shite.

The Bryan vs. Kofi match was pretty fun. The "YES!" chants absolutely weren't. And the cunt who came up with the "Yes-Lock" name needs to be sacked, raped then shot immediately.

Both Lesnar's pre-tape and Cena's in-ring promos were ace. Can't wait for their match now.

The Vickie show was up to the same standards as always.

Primo and Epico getting squashed by the Niggaz Wit' Altitude was pointless, but it got my two favourite jolly giants on screen so I'll give it a pass.

I got a laugh out of Sacramento(?) channeling Sonny Onoo on the outside with some vicious kicks. Poor Cena, though, it's times like this I wish he'd throw a hissy-fit backtage and refuse to go along with utter garbage like this. It does nothing for him.

Overall quite shit, but better than usual for a UK taping, anyway. Hopefully they'll rebound with the big 3-hour one next week.

So, I just watched Elgin vs. Davey to see what all the hype was about.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xq4z3x_da...t?search_algo=1

The Fuck? Meltzer's clearly lost his fucking mind. Even with so-called 5 star matches that I have seen that I dont agree with, I can see why they are there. I can even see why that ROH Chinese Lads tag team flip-fest from a few years ago got 5 stars even though I hate it.

But what am I looking at here? I just dont SEE what is 5 stars about this match at all. I dont get it, it borders on not even being proper pro wrestling. Within 30 seconds Elgin spills over the top to sit on the apron and just waits on a kick to the back? What on earth has happened in the 30 seconds to phase him so much he couldnt move? Then watching Richards march him around each side of the ring just to boot him once and then move to the next side. All within the first minute! Its like wrestling with fast forward on.

All within the first minute! Its like wrestling with fast forward on. And its not even as if they have short matches. Maybe if they learned to get more out of stuff they wouldn't fuck themselves up so much. Horseshit imo. I don't get it, it borders on not even being proper pro wrestling. Its just the usual ROH staples of no-selling high impact moves, loads of knee strikes and so on. I think Elgin's got potential but bollocks.

When ROH started it had a real variety to its shows, but it seems to have gotten to a point where most of the top matches follow the same formula of just all-out silliness from the start, ending with a ridiculous number of false finishes. Its one thing if you think your top guys can go 25 minutes if there is good reason for it, but putting on 30+ minute matches that have no pacing or logic as the main event every single time is just burnout.

Also, Nigel McGuinness is just fucking horrible on commentary.
