Sorry but I still think that Johansson and Renner are just a waste of screentime. All it does is take time away from other, far more important characters. Besides neither got any characterization whatsoever in their previous films, especially on Renner's account. Sure they were actual members at some point in the comics but still. I don't mind cameos by the two of them but adding characters to the mix that the audience has no real reason to care about just seems like a waste of not only our time but the actors' as well. Besides we all know Downey will steal the whole film from everybody else anyway. Having Renner in Thor was not only a half-assed excuse for justifying his inclusion in this film but Scarlett being in this film, like Ironman 2, is just about the most blatant excuse for eye candy I've ever seen. I wouldn't mind so much if the had actually justified their existence in the previous films to begin with. At least then their inclusion wouldn't feel so forced and tacked-on as it does.

Scarlett and Renner are not a waste of screentime. If anything they provide a human element that could be lost amidst the superheros. That's as far as I'll say without any spoilers.

Also can someone explain to me:
Click to reveal..
Who that was in credits extra scene?

Black Widow and Renner are not wasted. They fit. There are elements of the story were they are important...
For whatever its worth it was FANTASTIC. Stay until the end of the credits... smile

Wrong wrong wrong wrong. Absolutely brimming over with wrongability.

While I can agree that Scarlett was pointless in Iron Man 2, any one who says that in THIS movie clearly hasn't seen it.

And Hawkeye in Thor was a CAMEO. Not a huge part.

So yeah...they belong in the movie, they have their part to play, just as they ALWAYS have in the comics. So...WRONG.

Just saw it and it deserves every red cent that it received. Never thought that Hulk would have the funniest scenes.

One thing I had not known: It was Joss himself who thought of including

Thanos.
And great bit to have him smiling at the end, after it was told that it would be "tou court Death itself." After all...
Click to reveal..
Thanos is obsessed with Death...personified.
