NYC rental prices are way much higher than the sum total of $10 minimum wage earners in a small store in SF. And NYC still has $5 footlong specials.
Would you care to back that up with actual rental figures and other overhead and regulatory costs
Do I look like a Subway owner All I know is that it does not cost $5 to make a $5 footlong. No way. For $5 you can make 2 footlongs yourself from shopping at your local supermarket and making it yourself. You can google the rest.
No... you don't come off as an entrepreneur in the slightest; that would require that you display a willingness to work long and hard hours at great risk of your own capital. Clearly you fall into the the camp that believes that the federal government and actual taxpaying Americans should take care of you.
In other words, you display the leech mentality.
As for your assessment of what it costs a Subway owner to make a $5 footlong, I find your argument extremely lacking in anything even remotely resembling "facts" to back you up.
I submit that you are talking out of your ass yet again.
Big surprise there... a leftist who knows less that squat about the private sector.
Big surprise, you come off as a typical righty elitist that preaches certain stuff but doesn't live it out. I don't have to have a political or economic degree or read a hundred self-biased books to speak my mind. That is what is wrong with guys like you and Texasblue. That is what is wrong with this section of SP. A fucking laughing stock of a section because you so called conservatives (or libertarians) think you know everything, swear by it, feed off each others bs, and don't even indulge other ideas except for slandering them as an evil leftist. goodbye

You're about as ignorant as they come. Read what Dbl said about overhead and regulatory costs.... more so on overhead. Apparently you have no fucking clue as to how to run a business or what it costs to do so.
Come on, Tex...give us the benefit of your wisdom about overhead and regulatory costs. Or do you just parrot things other people say/write/post?
Never mind - rhetorical question.

Apparently, the city's new minimum wage, raised to $10.24 as of Jan. 1, make $5 footlongs an impossible business model.
No, but it might make it impossible for them to maintain their profit margin.

Did you care to back up the various posts where you say something is BS with actual figures?
And if you like, I could go through your post history for their exact text, but so could you.

Insults aside, I don't think that it would cost so much, either.
