Do you not get a $5 deal because your minimum wage laws, do you feel?

Sort of related question: isn't Australia's law kind of wonky? I don't mean like crazy, more like complex, graduated by age and other factors?

In Australia the minimum wage is higher but in general the cost of most things is higher than the US so it evens out.

just rethinking about this: A typical Subway store has only 2 workers at a time. Less than 10 workers, which includes any manager or supervisor. Buns cost about $1 each. The meats and veggies not much more. I call a huge BS on this whole deal.

NYC rental prices are way much higher than the sum total of $10 minimum wage earners in a small store in SF. And NYC still has $5 footlong specials.

Would you care to back that up with actual rental figures and other overhead and regulatory costs?

Do I look like a Subway owner?
All I know is that it does not cost $5 to make a $5 footlong. No way. For $5 you can make 2 footlongs yourself from shopping at your local supermarket and making it yourself. You can google the rest.

You're about as ignorant as they come. Read what Dbl said about overhead and regulatory costs.... more so on overhead. Apparently you have no fucking clue as to how to run a business or what it costs to do so.

No... you don't come off as an entrepreneur in the slightest; that would require that you display a willingness to work long and hard hours at great risk of your own capital. Clearly you fall into the the camp that believes that the federal government and actual taxpaying Americans should take care of you.

In other words, you display the leech mentality.

As for your assessment of what it costs a Subway owner to make a $5 footlong, I find your argument extremely lacking in anything even remotely resembling "facts" to back you up.

I submit that you are talking out of your ass yet again.

Big surprise there... a leftist who knows less that squat about the private sector.
