The NHL GMs will meet soon and one of the topics of discussion will be slowing the game down to prevent injuries. FUCK that! If they really want to avoid injuries just finally implement no-touch icing. Slowing the game down will kill viewership and just make it dull
Tampa's AHL affiliate won their 15th in a row today

Yeah that was one of the biggest issues surrounding the league after the lockout. The game was slow, dull and without a lot of goal scoring. What they need to do is get rid of guys who are cheap shot artists. Get rid of these guys who are headhunters, putting the red line back is a bad thought. Many owners are against it tho, so hopefully it won't make a comeback.
Rangers finally get off the shnide last night, albeit in an ugly way, against the Islanders picking up a 4-3 win in OT. I think they've gotten tired, are starting to get hit with injuries and may even got complacent when they had a double digit point lead just a couple weeks ago. There is talk of bringing up Tim Erikson and top prospect Chris Kreider soon. An infusion of young, fresh legs could be a big help to the Blueshirts.
