We have talented and skilled members and a few have already expressed interest in contributing to this thread so we're off to a good start. Keep in mind, the more likely you contribute to the forum in some way, the more likely other members will fulfill your requests.

Just wanted to get in on the ground floor before this thread becomes too popular. It's only cool to be part of a trend if you set the trend.

I'll definitely consider submitting some JLH banners. I don't have the software to blow anybody away at the moment, but a fan contributes what he can where he can, and JLH is my #1.

Some surprisingly nice ones here, some not so much (to me). I especially like what you did with Blake, all of them look pretty good to me.

I have only one suggestion for you ... Straighten out your naming convention - if only to make it easier for yourself to find your own banners. As it is now you've got (for instance) Jessica Alba in with the A's and J's. You've got Emma Watson in the E's, the W's, and the fucking M's, for Chrissake! [/JK]

While I love to see the banners that some guys love to make, with multiple layers and effects using all that CS5 can offer, I also love simpler artwork in banners, using pic as the focus and little to no distractions in the background. I think your stuff has good balance and is easy on the eyes. If I was in 'banner mode' I'd ask you to knock out a couple of McPhee for me to choose from. (But I'm not)

picky preferences. It's like with T-shirts and other
clothing. I want no NAME (brand, company, person)
that visible. Just clean and sober. If anyone doesn't
recognise Mila just by her face than so be it.

Wow, that's a lot of banners! Good job though, there's a great variety here.

I'll most likely post some random banners I've got knocking about at some point, but I'm way too lazy right at this minute.

This is going to sound like an asshole giving a purposely backhanded compliment, but I assure you I mean it in the best possible way...
Some of those are surprisingly good... very pleasant on the eyes, given your seeming need for a more "whimsical" standard of material.

Oh yes.

Here's a few I put together. The word "sample" is a placeholder to demonstrate the font. If anyone wants to use one of these, just say so and I will send you a version with your username on it instead of "sample".

Thanks a lot Marvin for contributing. Great work! I love how your banners are more natural looking, like you don't go all high contrast/saturation, like I often do with my banners. Also it's nice how you provided sample font placement, like a true graphic artist.

We need some Hayden Panettiere banners. And by "we" I mean "me".

I don't know who else may have made (or plans to make) a few Hayden banners already but regardless I'll make some simple ones in a few days and post them here.

Hayden is got such a pretty face , I'll probably emphasize it in the banners.

I've made a few of her, but I always stay inside my comfort zone when making banners, nothing really creative ever comes out anymore.

Oh, you must share them. Your banners always look nice. Simple and effective. Which is what many members seem to want. Their favorite chick looking pretty.

Trying to be creative has come at a price for me. I hear a lot of "Oh my God, just...no!" and "WTF is that?" and if I get lucky a few "Hey that's...different" and "Kind of interesting...not bad."

You sure can. You can make a general request, or if you like, say, Fulham or Marvin to make you something, you can request that too. And you can also be specific with the picture you like to have made into a banner. And depending on all that, we'll see if somebody can make it and how long it'll take. And if it's a general request, I'll try to take a stab at it.

I like mucking around with things like this. I am not expert that's for sure, but I have fun doing them.

On another forum I have made a few signatures for others.
I would be more than happy to make some for here.

Well, one my chat buddies, Minotaur, ended up using a Jennifer Lawrence banner I made a while back and that kind of got me motivated to make a bunch of them.

So I spent last couple of week making about 25 Jennifer Lawrence banners (to be used in your signature) and I do hope that some of them came out well. Enjoy!

p.s. I did not have time to separate these the banners into categories this time, but note that some of them do not include her name (as per some members' requests).

Hey, do you keep the original files? I like the font (which, by the way, what is it?) but the text doesn't have that nice texture the rest of the banner does. And I wanted to make it a little more... fiery.

Sadly I don't. I made that one about a week ago. But looking at it now, it's so obvious, that font doesn't have the same glow. But tell you what, I'll try to find the background, and the picture I used and recreate the banner. Then I'll hand it to you and you can write whatever text you want.
