SAFG's answer: That's because - as far as I know - there's no confirmation that the planet the Normandy crashes on and the planet that Stargazer is on is one in the same. In fact, considering the epilogue scene fires regardless of the ending you get (even the one that implies the Normandy crew is dead), there's little proof that the Normandy crew is permanently stranded or that they form an incestuous colony.
Considering the overall tone of the ending, I'd say it's unlikely they are stranded or that the ending is supposed to be considered 'sad'. Everyone's smiling and poo poo and looking at the sunrise, not wailing helplessly because they believe they're trapped forever.
That's my two cents on the matter.

the "Grandpa & The Shepard" epilogue fires up even in case no one comes out of Normandy's hatch, then it mean the epilogue is NOT taking place on the same planet the Normandy crashed. If everyone died during crash, it means nobody produced synthetic/incestuous babies so Grandpa couldn't be born on this planet.

My Take: If Everyone is stranded how would anyone know "The Shepard" Story except those on Earth? The Ending takes place on a Colony World. Normandy Does get rescued by the Alliance, It seems the Relay just shot them near Arcturus station and not some backward unknown Planet.
Plus all the lore in ME tells us, Two relay must make a connection with one another for a ship to travel or attempt to travel through. Relay A(Which connects to Arcturus System) shoots the Normandy to Relay B (Inside the Arcturus System somewhere) near or by Arcturus Station. When they come out the Normandy has to outrun the exploding Relay which destroys the Normandy. Everyone at Arcturus saw it and sent help once their ships returned from Earth.

Remember FTL can still be used.
thats wrong I always figured you need a working relay for ftl space travel will work but you cannot go to ftl
btw one thing I cannot find out if shep is on the citadel when this all goes off how does he get to earth all I have read so far is he just appears there after the choice
as I said I will give it a game and I am a massive fan I have over 2000 shepard saves but if what we know the endings are is right I dont think I reply it as much maybe get the acheviments then just use multiplayer
there is the whole other issue with this planet garrus and tali would not be able to survive there after what bioware has said about there people is right
FTL existed before humans every discovered the Mass relays. You use FTL to get to other Planets, FTL is also used to get from one system to another.

Somethings are just not explained, Like how the hell did the Normandy get from Earth to the relay in about 10 seconds. How did Shepard get off the citadel. The Ending is extremely vague and at times doesn't make any sense what so ever. your going have to headcannon some of it. Mac Walters, BioWare & EA screwed up big time on the Ending.

Correct until they fix the Ending. I'm Done Updating & I'm Done with EA. They have screwed up to many of my favorite series up, It just keeps getting worse. Mac Walters & BioWare just slapped every fan of the series in the face with that Ending.
Theirs a reason why Fans give him crap about his writing, The Ending is just more proof why.
I haven't seen the ending, nor read any spoilers, not sure I want to anyways... but, don't you think you will regret no getting the collector's edition knowing that it possibly will be hard to find after?

revans not the only one there is tons of other sites not just the bsn with people doing the same some saying they will wait save there cash and rent it

Mech Dog = Only Follows you around, Does nothing special. Alt Outfits = Reskins of their normal outfits. From Ashes = Can be obtained from XBL.
Most will likely be released on XBL in 6 months. EA likes Money.
