It's rare games have the balls to give the players a reality check that not all are gonna get the happy ending. On part 1 it took an entire fleet, The Alliance and Shepard to take out Sovereign, who was 1 Reaper. Part 2 the crew took a suicide mission into the relay, and barely made it against a Human Reaper and The Collectors. Now to take on a mass army of Reapers of course Bioware is gonna throw some sense of reality in there. And fuck you over on the ending. Giving you the inevitable defeat but to go down fighting.

problem is bioware promised certain things they even said to a question if there is weddings with li or even a hope of a future and one said we have you covered plus they have said so much more about the game that they have broken

dont even get me started on the origin of the reapers and talis face plus its not about it just being a good ending its about choice there is none you are railroaded down a certain line even then there is one easy way to fix that by having shepard some where else at the end but they dont take it

^ I'll add this to previous comments. Remember all those conversation you had on the Normandy in ME1 & ME2. Where you get to pick your dialogue options, Most of those are gone. Their now mainly Kasumi Style conversations.

Some Romances are just ignored completely even though we were told they would be touched upon. Even the failed Romance with Samara was suppose talked about in ME3.

Ashley & Kaidan only has one Conversation on the Normandy. Diana Allers has more conversations on the Normandy than both of them combined.

The Whole Guardian conversation I wanted to puke, This Conversation is so dumb. It looked like BioWare didn't know how to explain the Reapers and just looked up some random facts on wikipedia and went with that.

BioWare destroyed the franchise with Mass Effect 3. I will bet EA will force BioWare to create a Better Ending DLC Pack. EA going to milk the crap out of this game.

I could write a term paper on all the screw ups in Mass Effect 3.

Lol this thread is turning into BSN. All these things you said Bioware "promised" were comments made months ago, most of which they qualified by saying that the script was still a work in progress and subject to change. Maybe they jumped the gun with some of what they said but that happens. Most of the info that has been posted here over the last year has been altered as the game has developed.

Also, I've been going over a few threads to do my own research on these ending issues. One guy who played the game said he thought the endings were great and weren't all "bitter". There have also been plenty of other bits and pieces which suggest that, although there is truth to much of what is being said, a lot of it has been taken out of context and blown waaaaaay out of proportion.

No matter what anyone says, the only way somebody is actually qualified to give an opinion on a game is to play it first. So do that and then whine about it if you hate it.

BioWare is famous for lying to it's fans. Their still doing it now, Their comments on their Facebook page their still lying to their fans about certain aspects of the game.

The Ending is bitter their no arguing this point, If you say it isn't your just trying to fool yourself. Certain things are set in stone and you can not change that. It also doesn't help theirs plotholes throughout the Final Mission.

I have full Context of the ending, I am more than qualified to judge the ending. I know people who already 100% the game and say the same thing.

BioWare screwed over their fans Plain and Simple.

Sorry Revan, but how is wanting to play the game and judge on my own "fooling myself"? Logic says it's the common sense thing to do. If I read a negative review of a movie written by someone who hasn't seen it then it would be silly to assume they're 100% correct. They might be, but that's not really the point.

Plenty of people thought the ending (or even the whole game) of ME2 was bad but I enjoyed it. You say some people who have played ME3 don't like the ending and yet it's a fact that other people did. The only sensible conclusion from where I'm sitting is to play it for myself and judge.

A good story with an ordinary ending is better than 2/3 of a good story with no ending, at least IMO.

bioware said about weddings and little blue babies we have you covered 3 days ago on twitter after this all blew up fact is you cannot make a game based on choice then take it away at the end

there is a new idea on it that the old man and kid are nothing to do with the ship but way forward in the future some people who found one of liaras time capsule thing

but that makes it worse then have you have nothing about what happened to everyone after the game

plus if it was true the files would be out there now I know the whole time capsule is in there as she asks shepard what she wants to be remember like in it

not sure he is saying that plus I am getting the game and judging it on my own but all I have read is not good and I will not take my fave sheps if its all the way its said fact is all the fans wanted was an ending that does not mean in every ending tali and garrus are dead because the planet cannot sustain them with the info we know about there people in the last 2 games and an ending where shepard can have future of some kind and not become the god figure that in future people talk about

Which either one exists in Mass Effect 3.

One or two people saying the ending was ok, does not outweigh all the negativity & Bad Press about the endings.
