I wonder if they're gonna put him on the shelf for a bit, then bring him back unexpectedly, a la the Royal Rumble a few years back when his injury wasn't as bad as thought.

Nope. This is yet another case of a win Cena didn't deserve. This is a big part of Cena hatred, he comes up winning matches where he was dominated in. Another gift from WWE bookers and crew.

I'm really surprised that nobody else predicted Cena to win but me, well, for those who predicted a winner. Cena/Brock was the exact opposite of Cena/Rock.
Brock is staying around for a while, Rock is essentially one-off (yeah, that's pretty much what it equates to). With Brock coming in and immediately showing total dominance over Cena and making outrageous "demands," calling himself the new face of Raw without doing a damn thing, didn't that make anybody else think that he was going to lose? If Brock won here, it would immediately put him at the top of the company, no character build, no established feud. Maybe there are people who disagree with the way Cena won, but this is definitely the right call.
It'll be interesting to see what road they take Brock down starting tomorrow night.

Why bring someone down to earth like that when Brock is currently the strongest baddest heel WWE has had since at least the Attitude era?
Can't exactly say he doesn't have a character build because firstly, he's Brock Lesnar. Not a no-name dude. He's had a tenure in WWE. And now pretty much everyone knows he's become an MMA badass.
I thought Cena would've lost and begin doubting himself. Setting up a rematch which then he'll even the series after Brock's head inflated more.

I mean seriously, people are really crying about Cena going over?
Cena had to win that match as anything else would have shat on him as a main eventer and said to the rest of the roster not to bother as even as top guy we are just gunna bring back old stars to put over you and make you lose. It's not sound business in the long term once the returners have gone away (should they go away).
Cena got fucking murdered, Brock looked like the destroyer of worlds and had to throw himself into a chain shot to the face and then take Cena's finisher on the steps to lose the match. Surely if Cena had used more than two moves and actually had the upper hand on Brock for a prolonged period towards the end it'd have hurt Brock a lot more anyway? A fortunate win in a match where he was lucky to escape alive and may in fact be injured from is hardly Cena burying Brock.
Furthermore a 'lucky win' sets up nicely for a rematch as Brock had Cena pulverised within a few minutes and had him down for what, a 7 count. However ultimately he didnt win the match. If Brock had just smashed Cena and got the win, what would be the point/interest in a rematch. Lesnar destroys him again?
Look at the build up for Taker/HHH this year, where Taker had to fight tooth and nail to get his rematch to avenge his win from the previous year. How their editors and writers spin the events of the match in the coming weeks is so much more important, and there's not really any way you can slice the footage that makes Brock look bad unless you only air those 30 seconds of it.

Have to respectfully disagree
Main event was FUCKING. AMAZING. Holy shit. Everything was perfect. The beatdown, the ref destruction, Lesnar scooping up Charles Robinson with one hand, the blood licking, the bleeding on both sides, the visual of Lesnar standing on the steps, Lesnar going kamikaze over the top rope, Cena's absolutely perfect hope spots during the initial beat down, Lesnar's swagger and Cena's FIRE throughout and the fact that it got 100% real heat out of a super smarky crowd... everything. Lesnar was utterly terrifying and Cena was a god damn hero. It felt like something entirely different from anything else in the show or in the WWE right now and it was wonderful. Fuck five, TEN STARS.

According to NODQ.com Cena said something along the lines of "I can't move my arm but I know nothings torn" as he was walking to the back. So hopefully his injury isn't too bad.
