Jennifer Hudson was backstage at Smackdown tonight, hence David Otunga's recent push. Could she be singing America the Beautiful this year at Wrestlemania?

I am beginning to think the Punk/Brown thing is a work. Everyone has picked up on it and WWE has it on the homepage of the website. If this was legit Vince wouldn't be endorsing this unless he loves the free publicity is generating. That is possible but something tells me Chris Brown is going to be the celebrity match at Mania. How Punk will face him given he is already in a match is the question.

When I was 6/7 and got SummerSlam 89 from the video shop, I have to say I never signed up for this. They did a battle royal on Raw, filled with a bunch of people who aren't over in the slightest battling it out for the WWE title shot at WrestleMania. Then you stick WWE.com on, and the headline is "CM PUNK AND CHRIS BROWN'S TWITTER WAR RAGES ON!" How small time do these wrestlers come across these days? Its ridiculous. Hogan had Mr. T and Cyndi Lauper. Hogan went on the grammy's with a cut of dinner jacket and presented Saturday Night Live because of this rub. Austin had Mike Tyson and created headlines worldwide. The Rock did SNL and stole it and Roger Ebert said he should get out of wrestling all together. Even Diesel had Pam Anderson.

Has wrestling got that bad where the WWE champion has to troll a small time wife beater on a social network? Wrestling was always about protecting your stars and creating a presence around the talent. Shit like this depresses me. The belt means fuck all. They might as well put it on Chris Brown.

Vince loves free publicity, of course he does!

If Punk didn't have an opponent, I would say it was a work, I just think he is expressing his opinions on that loser.

And LA Park, shame on you for basically siding with that bitch woman beater.

i have always hated cena and i always will. F*ck Cena!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well if you remmeber, Park and I more or less are the only Cena defenders on the forums for many years now. I think we were the first 2 to shit on the Rock's return because we knew it was bull shit.

You act like Cena Nation is this huge majority, but you should know being a Cena Hater, that in fact is the majority. And the fact Cena is winning over fans again isn't over just one promo, its been months in the making and Rock no showing every week continues to build support for Cena from the boys in the back to people on forums.

Seriously the Anti-Cena mongs, much like Dwayne, really need to come up with some new material.

I have never hated Cena. In fact I like him. I have been saying for months he should turn heel because I thought it would be interesting but that has nothing to do with what I think of his work attitude. The guy just like HHH puts in 100% every time. He isn't the best wrestler but he is a company man and would do anything for the business. I re-watched his promo from Monday night and like I said before I feel that was his best mic work ever because there were no corny jokes, just John "shooting"

It will do for CM Punk and WWE, what Hogan saying he was going to be the bassist in Metallica will do for TNA. It'll have the average wrestling fan rolling their eyes and the none wrestling fan laughing at him. I cant see any defence of this that has any logic. The argument between them isn't what you want people to actually see. Brown's calling him a roid muncher and saying what everyone else in 2012 says about wrestling today. He misses real stars like Bret Hart, Hacksaw Duggan and Randy Savage. I wouldnt want the none fan reading that.

I wouldnt mind if it was Santino or some other mug. But he's the fucking WWE Champion. If they want a wife beater to put Punk over, just get on the phone to Steve Austin.

If WWE and Chris Brown were working, they wouldnt allow him to mention steroids, shit ratings and how crap their current crop of characters are, because those are all digs WWE is so thinskinned about (and rightly so, because it highlights the companies recent shortcomings). And WWE wouldnt have Punk hinting that Brown beat the shit out of a woman, because 1) I'm sure Brown and his people wouldnt go for that shit and 2) WWE then looks bad paying someone who beats the shit out of a woman a huge fee to get one of their guys over. This isn't fake wrestling jibes. Its playground bitching in an attempt to get WWE in the news, but not actually draw any money. Same reason why they shove twitter down our throats every week, yet no area of business has improved since they started doing it.

Brown looks just as bad, and he's already backed out of this twitter war. Which is a shame, because I thought he was *this* close to mentioning the time Pat Patterson got in trouble for cupping a 12 year olds balls at a TV taping.

If you ask me, Jericho needs to start slapping Alicia Fox around next week on Raw then cut a promo to Punk asking him whether 'this is close enough to Chris Brown for him'.

I've watched the Cena promo about 20 times now, and it just keeps getting better each time.

It was a massive change of pace from the Cena character. Cena looked flustered. His promo was similar to the direction they took Bret Hart's promos in back in 1997, where the people who hate him cant look past how right he actually is, and the people who love him are going "THANK YOU FOR TELLING THE TRUTH!" Or even better, he was like when Batista suddenly looked like the best promo man in the business after years of being put on a lead. Cena's tone, facial expressions and delivery were not the norm.

Cena didn't look like a bloke who'd come out the next night grinning if he lost to the Rock.

I hope we see more of this John Boy.
