I am not at all surprised that he believes in the Bible, and even less surprised that he believes it without any questions and without ignoring certain passages that are barbaric and nonsensical. Many people in the West like to rant and rave about how dangerous Muslims are, but at the end of the day people like Screwball here are every bit as dangerous as the Islamic hate preachers you find in the papers.

I'm an agnostic... I don't believe in a god or gods, but that doesn't mean that I hold the religious in contempt.
Religion has played a valuable role in the maintenance of a civil society. Even the atheists of the renaissance (including some Popes) all those hundreds of years ago understood that.
Just to make it clear, I'm not defending cornball, who is clearly insane (and I suspect is someone I banned many, many times here when I modded this section).
But I am defending reason, and Angantyr's response here is just idiotic and illustrates how little he knows about history.
He said "people like Screwball here are every bit as dangerous as the Islamic hate preachers." You generalized that to "Christians are every bit as dangerous as the fundamentalist Islamists." You know Angantyr does not equate EE_EE with all Christians.
What Angantyr said is true. The KKK is still around. Neo-Nazis are still around. All the EE_EEs of this world need is a charismatic leader to light the match. Saying they aren't dangerous just because they aren't currently acting on the hate would be, as you like to say, ignoring history.
