Exactly.Jesus meant for us to pray to the Father in secret to establish personal one to one personal relationship with the Father. He also taught us to fast whenever possible but not to fast so that others see that that you are fasting.
He also taught not to use redundant words when praying for real prayers with real intent must come with a sincere and contrite heart.

So God’s job description includes giving us our daily bread, forgiving our trespasses, leading us not into temptation, and delivering us from evil. If I had his success rate at my job, they’d fire my sorry ass.
