Did you read my post
Did I ever EVER say that taxes alone will solve all problems Hell no. That was the point of my replies in that dumb thread of "all millionaires being taxed". I know that is not realistic. Taxes are not the end all solution to debt problems.
So don't talk to me like you are superior or think you know everything.
That's funny, if you don't believe that taxes are the "end all solution to our debt problems" then where are your comments on cutting the size of government? Where are your suggestions on where to cut spending or how to fix our bankrupt entitlement programs which threaten to consume 100% of our annual budget in the not too distant future?
The facts are I have seen NO such remarks from you. ALL I have seen from you is a constant and mindless tirade against the wealthy and the call to tax them more, as though that was going to help even a tiny bit.
IT WILL NOT!!!
I'll say it again, we could raise the marginal tax rates on the wealthy to 90% and it wouldn't even begin to make a dent in our deficits alone, never mind our debt and unfunded liabilities!!!
Increasing taxes on ANYONE right now would be the stupidest thing we could do! Unfortunately, your grasp of even basic economics (and reality) is so utterly lacking, you cannot see why that would be. And your blind hatred of the wealth precludes your being able to think logically on this topic.
I have no sympathy for most of the rich.
Gee... there's an understatement!
Only the ones that do good for the economy and the people. Like creating alot of jobs or making good products.
You really are that clueless, aren't you. It's embarrassing how little you know about economics.
But for the most part rich people are not really hard workers.
You know, you can make all the unsubtantiated statements you like! You can just make shit up like this, but that does not make it true. You have absolutely no basis for making such a ridiculous claim.
I swear JT, it's as though the only knowledge you have on the wealthy was gotten by watching Thurston Howell III on Gilligan's Island. You seem to think they are all useless lie-abouts who light cigars with $100 dollar bills.
It's quite clear you've never personally known a wealthy person in your entire life, however long that has been to date - which, judging by your dialogue here, can't have been all that long.
I will tell you that they are NOTHING like the people you think they are. And yes... I have known quite a few wealthy people, so I speak from personal experience and not from some crap dredged up from the Worker's World Daily.
They just know how to manipulate people, manipulate money, and con them too. That's where their money comes from.
No, those are used car salesmen.
Honestly sport, you really do sound like a walking flyer from the DailyKos.
And that's what should be highly taxed.
And you could tax them at 100% and it wouldn't help a damned thing! I thought you understood this point? Or are you just filled with so much hatred for the rich that you'd tax them just to seek revenge, no matter how much it would hurt the economy?
Not highly taxing a father of four trying to pay house bills and feed the family. Not highly taxing a single person just working to eat, sleep, and hopefully a little play instead of suicide or crime.
Good lord kid! Could you be any more melodramatic?
And besides, I've proposed a solution that would dramatically change the fortunes of lower and middle income Americans for the better. The Fair Tax would be the best thing in the world for these people, but leftists like you hate it because it strips the government (and leftists love government) of the power to use the tax code to punish the wealthy.
Tax the rich people that have already taxed the public on their own.
Your ignorance about economics, free markets, capitalism and the tax code is just astonishing.
And don't even dare bring up "the hard working CEO's you love". They are the biggest manipulators of all, that's how they got there.
Oh? Dictating to me on what I can "bring up" now are we?
Well just one of those CEO's work harder than any 100 of people like you! Out of the thousands upon thousands of corporations out there, you read a few stories about some failures or corruption and you just make the blanket assumption that MOST CEO's are "manipulators" in some unspecified bad way.
This is ignorance on a sweeping scale!
I would pay good money to plop you down in some CEO's seat and see how you did. You have no clue what the hell a CEO does or the amount of responsibility they carry on their shoulders. You'd be begging for mercy before the first week was out!
You people also keep forgetting that lower and medium income do get taxed alot. Like I said they probably pay for over 90% of the sales taxes and surcharges charged in America. Their paycheck is also taxed, some up to about 35% of their wages. They only get some or most of that back at tax return time. But the rest of the year is a struggle, many living paycheck to paycheck. Even the well educated and skilled.
We've beat this horse to death. The Fair Tax fixes ALL of this!
Fuck conservatives. Still fighting against gay rights and birth control and Miley Cyrus, yet wants less government control. Fucking cookoo!
Very nice kiddo...
