Our Idiot Brother was awesome. Best-looking cast of the year: Paul Rudd, Zooey Deschanel, Rashida Jones, Elizabeth Banks, Emily Mortimer.
Rudd plays hippie Ned who gets sent to prison for selling pot to a police officer and subsequently thrown out of his house and has to go back to live with his family whose lives he proceeds to systematically destroy through niceness. Rudd is great and the scene where he finally explodes is amazing. It's pretty precious, cliched, and a little too hipsterish, but I completely loved it.

DO NOT find yourself in a wolves den. You will die. Fuck you will die so hard.
This movie was pretty awesome. It's about a group of plane crash survivors who not only have to battle cold and snow white outs but also a pack of wolves. The cast is terrific and every single one of them does an amazing job. The movie is shot very real. It looks sort of gritty and lots of camera shaking(which I don't like but it sort of works here because of how the movie is shot) . The movie isn't pretty you could say. Just raw and real.

Attack The Block. Quite good. Though I understand some complaints people have had over the kids not being likable, I didn't feel the same way. Moses in way reminded me of Snake Plissken, except maybe a bit kinder of a person, but the similarities are there, for me at least.

^they never acknowledged the fact that they terrified(?) their mugging victim, and were all like "why were you afraid, we weren't going to cut you or nuttin, we were just as scared as you" (bull). And the leader saying "I wouldn't have cut you" I don't believe for one instant. Had she stood up to them and fought back, would they have simply run off ? I don't think so. The leader would have sliced her from belly to neck so to not lose face in front of his crew. And that oik who kept onto the ring even after hearing just how much it meant to the lady, lovable, methinks not. Yes the gang did some heroic stuff, yes she would have died without them, but I never felt they were sorry for putting the lady thru that ordial, so this movie left me feeling icky.

And that's where the Snake Plissken comparison comes in. An outlaw in it only for himself, not willing to do anything for anyone unless forced to. Snake may be put in the protagonist position, but he did something to become a wanted felon, and he was considered extremely dangerous. The deleted footage opening of Escape From New York is a bank robbery, the crime he got caught for. I'm willing to bet had he been put in a position where he had to kill one of the other humans in that bank, he would have. He may be facing something worse, but Snake Plissken is not a nice man. The same can be said for Moses.
I'm not trying to change any opinions on the matter. That's just how I see it.
