as you know I am stoked to see this. I wonder if the ending is the same as the book. The book's ending is sad but good. I can't wait to see this.

The Amazing Spiderman
Good, not great.
The performances were good. Lizard looked incredible and real as did Spiderman's travels through the city. I felt I was watching someone actually swing through from building to building unlike watching a video game in the old Spiderman.
Reason why it wasn't great - I kept hearing it is a "darker version" It wasn't, it had the same feel as the Maguire/Raimi version. Highly disappointed about that, but overall a good movie and again as in all superhero movies don't leave once the credits roll.

Magic Mike (I was dragged kicking and screaming to this by my wife and I was the only male in the audience after she promised me that I would not be.)
All of the females in attendance seemd to thoroughly enjoy this movie given the amount of naked male chests, buttocks, pretty much everything but genitals shown from beginning to end by the stars of the flick (thank God Kevin Nash never went full monty.)
For me the only redeeming things in the movie were a topless Olivia Munn minutes after the beginning credits, a brief glimpse of a topless Riley Keough (Elvis Presley's grandaughter), and the lovely breasticles of the blonde portraying Matt Bomer's wife/girlfriend.
Any other comments would make me fairly uncomfortable and pretty much make me appear gay (if that is your choice of lifestyle, good for you.)

The Amazing Spider-Man - 5/5
THIS is how you do a Spider-Man movie. Loved the tone, loved Garfield as Peter Parker. He IS Peter Parker. Funny, sarcastic, caring...pitch-fucking-perfect.
LOVED this movie. Best of all the Spider-Man films, hands down.
Ted 4/5
WONDERFUL. Such a great heart to this movie. Just delightful.

The Amazing Spider-Man
I sadly have to compare this film to the others because of the name.. and it's well documented that I am not a big fan of the last spider man series. In large part due to horrible casting and that bad cast proving my point.
Andrew Garfield is the perfect spider man. He actually looks like Peter Parker, can crack wise, and can act.
His love Interest Gwen Stacy, Emma Stone actually looks like Gwen, can make you fall for her, and can act.
And I loved that the big bad was Curt Conners. I always enjoyed his story lines in the comic so it was cool to see him on screen and he looked great. And even while he's being a dirty lizard doing dirty deeds you sort of feel for the guy.
I also thought Denis Leary was great as Captain and father.
I liked the origin in this movie far more than the last one. This one took more time and care with it and made it make more sense.
The action was well done, the CGI was superior to its counterpart(which was another huge gripe of mine) making both Peter and the Lizard look great.
The love story worked very very well due to the fact that Emma and Andrew have chemistry to spare.
I really dug this movie. It's def in the top tier of comic book movies for me but not better than avengers, iron man, first class, or TDK. But just behind them.
This one completely out classes the last spider man in all ways. and it was nice to see a spidey cracking jokes while in a fight like he does in the comic.
Salt Pretty stupid but entertaining. The last words spoke over the news made me laugh because...well.. it just did.
Did you see the directors cut version ? - I won't spoil things by saying how the two versions differ but if you're sure you saw the theatrical release version then you might like to check out the DC one too.
