I finished it on Hard yesterday and I did get killed a lot during the first mission although that was probably more to do with just getting used to the game and figuring out how many hits you can take before you die.

I found some good cover spots in the mall section so that didn't cause me too many problems but the very end did when you have to run to get on the Osprey with the rest of the soldiers. I couldn't see where the RPG's were coming from and must have tried it about 7 times before I got it . The Kaffarov shooting range was stupidly difficult due to the enemies all having those blinding laser pointers on their shotguns and also the 1 hit kills ahhh

Some of the trophies are badly glitched too. Took me 2 attempts to get the one on the first mission to ping (protect the wounded soldier) even though I done it perfectly the first time. Took 5 goes to do the timed part on Comrades and then 4 goes to get the one on Rock and a Hard place for taking the Jet out with one shot.
I wanted to get all of the single player trophies but gave up on the one where you are in the jet. Got all the rest though

Co-Op mode is frustrating too because your partner is either a moron who stays too far back and lets you do all of the hard work or else they drop out of the game before you can finish the section that you're on

Yeah I've noticed that about the trophies too. I didn't get the one for saving what's his name in the first mission, even though he did live. I think the wing man trophy you can't take any damage during the whole flight and you have to kill every thing.

I haven't tried co-op mode yet. Haven't played multiplayer in a few days actually, mainly cause of Uncharted 3, plus the server problems they were having.

In the jet mission I only took machine gun damage (which is part of the mission so can't be avoided) and didn't get hit by any missiles and it still didn't ping. Apparently you have to take out the 7 enemy jets with one missile each. In most cases I was firing a missile and they would launch their flares so I had to fire a 2nd missile to take them out. Can't be bothered trying it agian though giggle

The multiplayer trophies might be obtainable but the co-op ones pretty much mean that Platinuming BF3 will be almost impossible

giggle I did the same thing. I kept just firing the missiles until I learned to be patient enough to fire after they released the counter measures.

Don't know how much of the multiplayer I'll continue to play with Uncharted 3 calling my name more than BF3.

I played the 'Fire In The Sky' co-op mission for the first time today.

One player has to fly the helicopter (and fire rockets) while the other just has to use the machine guns.

The random who I was playing with couldn't fly for shit though giggle 5 times in a row he took off and crashed immediately. When the game finally let me fly I managed to stay in the air until the tanks appeared. I'm fine with flying using the 'behind the helicopter' view (click R3 down for that) but as soon as I have to use the other view and start shooting I usually crash pretty quickly ahhh

Yeah the evacuate part was insane, I didn't know if I had to make a run for it while enemies were coming out everywhere, or wait, clear a few, and then run for it. I must have died at least 10-15 times before finally completing it.

giggle Don't feel bad snoop, I can't fly the choppers for shit either. It's just hard to get the hang of the yaw and the pitch while trying to maintain altitude.

Do any of the PS3 BF3 owners fancy trying to get on at the same time sometime and having a game together? (preferably in the same squad or team)

I suck balls on this game. Everyone has big ranks and better weapons.
Think i'll enjoy it more when a weapons pack is released.

Try doing the co-op missions because you can unlock some decent guns for multiplayer through that. I've done all of the co-op missions on hard so am now grinding through them (Hit & Run in particular) to unlock all of the guns. Got the Raffica pistol earlier on and it's now my handgun of choice. It's basically a SMG so it works very well if you're playing as a sniper
