Wow. A little sensitive are we?

The guy asked the "what makes China communist" question repeatedly and having it answered he just disappears.

Of course it could not have more obvious just why he kept pressing the question - the barely supressed glee he was going to take in "proving" 1old "wrong" if he answered.

I guess I took all of the fun out that with my answer.

Oh well... life's a bitch... giggle

Because SP is his whole life, right? People can't go off and do other things? They have to answer you right away, or they're ducking out? I'll have to remember that.

I've realized that you don't argue to try to sway people's opinions. You argue just to argue. It's good to put you in perspective.

What, you can't take a little ribbing? Or you can only see conservative humor?

It is quite likely possible that lucy or lucifer or whatever he prefers is simply taking a break to do other things like yardwork or such and if he is... then good for him it certainly beats launching a response to dbl or myself with expletives and personal attacks..I have tried to learn from experience that the best thing to do is just walk away from the computer and do other things like get some fresh air it just isn't worth it to take it personally and lose your temper.

You're really big on those florishes of rhetoric, eh foob?

Sure... people can go off and do other things. Hell even I have been known to take days off here... and I have no life.

But, the guy was pressing the question hard, even insulting 1old by saying he didn't think 1old actually knew the answer - and he did this over a short period of time. That makes one think he'd be anxious to make his point once the question was answered.

As for your "perspective" of me, I wouldn't be so quick to judge were I you.

While I typically debate to persuade, having been been alive for a fair bit of time, and having actually been involved in politics, I've learned that some people cannot be persuaded, no matter how strong the factual case - and that is true here as well.

In those instances, I post to ensure an outright fallacy does not go unaddressed.

Loc: in my kingdom cold at the moun...
I admit I'm not fully educated on wall street matter, but after see the supporters in downtown Vancouver i pondered it a little. hopefully some nice folk here will show me if my thoughts are completely off or help me make sense of it all.

First: wall street isn't really in charge of who's working and who not... i think a large part of America's problem is that it's not really producing like it use to... As a consumer i some times look at where produces are made, and it's rarely in the United States. Somewhere along the line people figured out it was cheaper to manufacture else where... Without creating goods you only have nature resources to sell, and hopefully company's haven't sold off the land... with the land at least we can sort of go back to square one if need be. I'm sure that's an over simplified version of it... but bottom line people are mad cause they don't have jobs or they aren't making enough to life well... this is the problem not wall street, this is at least part of what we have to correct..

Wall Street... It's where people invest correct? In the 90's i recall people making a lot of money from it, and the ... I see it like gambling really... it makes sense that very few are good at it, and that it takes a hell of a lot of time and research to know what the hell is going on... I fully admit if I don't have the patience for it, but i don't have anything against those that do... assuming that those that are successful at playing the market spend there money it's likely that at least some of it tickles down to others...

I don't see the point in getting mad at the few that are doing well... I want us all to be doing well... therefore we should be focusing on fixing the things that are broken... since wall street still makes money it's not on the list.

also if they can survive the stress of wall street then they can work anywhere... at the moment they aren't after my job and for that i'm happy.

The Government... one could rant about the good and bad about it all day. Listening to the morning new it almost sounds like we're on the edge of a revolution, and not just the US... but US, England, hell most of Europe, Greece ... hopefully it doesn't go that way, but who knows. Anyhow if i was in the US, I'd be looking at the government and asking why and what are they spending so much on? how can we change this to spending less and starting to get some massive manufacturing going on again? it worked once to make America the superpower she is, why not try again?

anyhow most of that was just idea I've been playing around in my head for the last few days, namely cause i don't see these protests doing any good... hell winter is coming and camping out like that is just going to make people sick.. well that's my take on it for now

Ghost you made excellent observations, one of the best comments thus far I've seen on this thread.. especially about getting back to what people can do to make America great once again...and not focusing about Wall Street and big corporations as the bad guys.

I believe it can be done again. goodjob
