is superboy any good? anything with boy or girl seems lame IMO but he looked to be fighting a shark like creature which def made me think it could be cool.

Personally, I found it boring, the lead is lifeless and it's impossible to root for him, to me, because of that. The supporting cast is fine, but if there's no pop to the lead, it feels pointless.
THe money would be better spent on Batgirl, if you want to test the "boy/girl" suffix waters.

I am a little surprised with the Hulk stuff and not sure what to think of the new Spidey book. I am about to read X-Men Schism, and been reading X-Force a lot recently and love it! Can't say how awesome it is! Also Despite what some people have said, Wolverine has picked up again and I have been loving the recent arcs.
The new Spidey book has me as long as the girlfriend isn't in it. She alone made me drop the main Spider-Man book.
Incredible Hulk...I don't know what to make of it. It's got till issue two to build up speed.
I'll only be seeing Wolverine in Wolverine & The X-Men.
Your missing out man, the Wolverine stuff recently was awesome and X-Force is one of the best comics out there right now. Great team, great character development, and great villains.
