That Mark Henry win was one for the ages. It was like the modern day Sting/Vader I. THAT is how you create a champion.
Gotta agree! The WWE finally built up someone as a credible threat to Randy Orton and followed through! If the Smackdown writers could only teach the RAW writers that little trick...

I look forward to Teddy Long offering Christian his "one more match" against the champion and Christian suddenly explaining how he feels he's had enough chances and that maybe he needs to take some time off.
Is it wrong to want Tony Atlas back for one night to tell Mark he's proud of him, only for Henry to destroy him for trying to take his moment?

I am thinking it goes more like Teddy gives Christian his ONE MORE MATCH against Randy Orton for the #1 Contenders spot but fails again so Orton gets his rematch at Hell in the Cell.

Night of the Champions
I fucking loved this PPV so much. I just really enjoyed watching it. Like a fan. I was into a lot of the finishes.
HHH WON'T EVEN SELL FOR RING RUST!!!. I love him, 6 month absence, he just comes back, boom, another MOTYC. That had fucking everything, great wrestling, twists, turns, and Big Daddy fucking Cool. Oh, and Scott Armstrongs punch was fucking awesome. He should teach Miz how to throw one. I loved the build to the Nash appearance. Johnny Ace and Miz and Truth fucking about stopping the pin falls. Ace getting the iPhone out was a mini tease. As soon as he got his phone out, you knew what was coming next. Ace texting Nash was like a lass getting her tits out the first time before you get on top of her to do your best to keep moral up. And very much like a Kevin Nash run/walk in, I imagine I'm the only one enjoying that as well. CM Punk kicked out of the pedigree, Miz and R-Truth are hanging with the big boys again. Funnily enough Nash actually reminded me of that scene in Turtles II, when Super Shredder is fucking about smashing shit up and then it takes something out of the ordinary to stop him. Nash was just walking about smacking people all over. He looked like Vader '93 or something. What's great about WWE's production team is that sledgehammer shot. I didnt even see HHH get the hammer. One minute Nash is about to powerbomb him through the announce table and the next Nash is smacked right in the chin.
I've no idea what people are complaining about. Here's what I saw, Miz, Nash, Johnny Ace and The Truth already have a past alliance onscreen over the last few weeks. Johnny Ace hints Nash is on the way early on in the show, which is what they wanted to do. They werent hiding the new signing of a surpise run in from Goldberg's tougher twin brother. It was a returning wrestler who got sacked TWO WEEKS ago and who they've played in archive footage for weeks. Now, Ace doesnt want HHH as COO because he thinks he's done Vince over. Truth and Miz dont want Triple H as COO because they keep getting pissed about by the head brass (evident from the referee cock up earlier in the night). Nash doesnt like Punk and now he doesnt like Triple H because he got fired from WWE by his former best friend. So this foursome wants to destroy both of them. So all four are working toward the same goal. Anyways, a really enjoyable match. Raw should be good because there's a new foursome of Truth, Miz, Ace and Nash and Triple H is still the boss and we'll find out if Punk now believes HHH and Nash aren't together. Can't wait. And another bonus is that with Nash knocking about with Awesome Truth, that means we'll get the return of Komedy Kev!
And that probably wasnt my favourite moment either. Mark Henry willing the belt was as close as I've got to getting an erection while watching a mens match on a WWE PPV. It was just so out of the blue and it was a clean win. I legit popped. The match never went on to long, so it wasnt to bad. Henry is really over. His interview afterwards was great as well. And it sparked a conversation about whether The Nation is infact the most successful group in the history of the business. Three World champs.
Cena and Del Rio was a class match as well. Didnt expect a Cena win, but it was a pleasent surprise, which featured some haters saying "I can only hope Cena is injured and misses WrestleMania". The massive heads in the audience were brilliant as well, and Cena did an All Up In The Camera shot with the massive heeeeeds above him. Is that 10 times he's won the belt now?
Kelly Kelly winning I should have spotted a fucking mile off. Beth Phoenix was as over as anyone on the show because she was in her home town and true to form, in JR fashion, she did one in the middle, probably to howls of laughter from Johnny Ace, Kevin Dunne and Vince who high-fived and struttered to Kevin Dunne's Nickleback and AC/DC mix tape. This match was surprisingly good. I dont know whether it was because the crowd gave a shit or what, but it was fun to watch.
Tag title opener was a good little match, but the finish bugged me. Sure, it made some sense for the main event, but really didn't feel like a satisfying end to it. They built it up with two clean losses for the champions, who then...didn't get their revenge here. What great babyface champions! Ted-Cody was a slight letdown. Ted and Cody had a technically sound match, with Ted hitting some really smooth-looking stuff, as always, but the match just felt like a mid-card SD match and not a PPV-quality one. Cody winning via schoolboy was also anticlimactic. I loved Booker basically burying the IC Title and then Cole talking about how important it is and how far its lineage goes back and all the HoFers that held it - that was hilarious.
Christian and Sheamus had an SD opening talking segment on it as well. Christian got a good pop from the crowd - thank God they turned him heel at JUST the right time... and then he got cheap shotted by Sheamus. Well, at least their match at HiaC will probably be really good. It's a shame the fatal 4 way didn't get more build, because Morrison did some crazy stuff in it. The hip toss over the top looked awesome, and the German off the top was decent too, even if he didn't really grab Riley all that well for it. Loved the sleeper hold/ankle lock spot until it led to Swagger being launched across the ring towards the ropes and then throwing himself into the corner...for some reason...to hit Dolph. And then Morrison lost after Dolph stole the pin after the Doctor bomb. Thank God Morrison came back super-early from NECK SURGERY for this, a loss in a last-minute mid-card B-level PPV match. Vickie was awesome backstage with Striker.
Great show. Can't complain about much on the show. Whatever peoples opinions on this show is, it got me thinking how class wrestling is and how affective it can be. Henry, Cena, Triple H and Nash are over with me. As a fan I like them. Hense I liked this PPV. It did it's job with me 100%.
The Rock, John Cena, CM Punk, Triple H and someone else (Foley maybe?) vs. Kevin Nash, The Miz, R-Truth, Alberto Del Rio and someone else it looks like at the Survivor Series.
