I'm curious to see what moves the Rangers make. They desperately need a top line #1 center. I know they're rumored to be top contender for Dallas' Brad Richards, so lets hope he lands in the Big Apple. Also a rumor that Ottawa might trade Jason Spezza to NY but Sen's GM Bryan Murray says he won't trade Spezza...we shall see.

No. The Carter trade had to be done if they wanted Bryzgalov. Philly was (and arguably still is) deep on offense. Carter played too much on the wings, and he's generally more comfortable in the middle. Philly has Giroux, Briere, and had Richards so Carter was expendable.

BUT! Trading Richards was a mistake. There MUST be something going on in the locker room for Holmgren to have traded Richards.
