Anyhow, back on DA2 topic, I just learned that the main character can be female!
If your talking about where you rescue Queen Anora. Game is almost over. As long as you finished all the Side Quests. You have one more Main Quest(which is very short).
I will say this. Unless you harden AliStair do not put him on the Throne.
It seems the best choice for the Kingdom is either
A. If your Male Human Noble Marry Anora(this is Semi-bugged on the console if you want AliStair to remain in your Party). B. If your Female Human Noble Marry AliStair(Harden). C. Put both AliStair & Anora on the Throne.

I recently picked up Oghren, he is one badass mothafucka!!!!
Took him and Morrigan for the small rescue mission, that was awesome.
Him and Morrigan make me laugh the most out of any of the characters.
Problem is, I can't have both at the same time.
Alistair is my tank and Wynne is my healer, so I need those 2.
You don't need to have AliStair. It just helps you finish the battle faster. I did the entire Deep Roads Segment without a single Mage. Also beat the Harvester on Nightmare without a Mage. Which is not a Simple Task.

Yes. Make sure you have High enough Coercion to pull it off.
