We get it on Friday. It's basically a tv show of The Crazies. I'll be watching.
And the Crazies was a movie version of the Walking Dead graphic novel...
No, "The Crazies" was a film George Romero wrote and directed back in 1973 and was recently remade. So unless Romero had a time machine and went 30 years into the future, read the comic, and then went back in time to make the movie, it's unlikely "The Crazies" had anything to do with the "Walking Dead" graphic novel.
There is a Romero connection, though. Kirkman has often times said that his inspiration for the books was George Romero's "Dead" films, to the point where he took one of the salient pieces of information from "Day of the Dead" -- namely, if you get bitten by a zombie but cut off the limb that was bitten quickly enough can save them from the infection -- and took it as a major part of the "Walking Dead" mythology.

Yeah well I was talking about the current remake of "The Crazies." I mean isn't every zombie thing a knock off or homage to earlier Romero work? Until Romero started to ruin his own stuff that is...

Episode 2 was great! Despite creating a new character for the show, I still enjoyed it.

The Zombies Live! AMC Gives The Walking Dead a Second Season
by Drusilla Moorhouse
Zombie lovers rejoice!
The Walking Dead, AMC's new zombie series, has been renewed for a full 13-episode second season, the network has confirmed.
The undead apocalypse show debuted on Halloween to record-breaking ratings, and last night's second episode posted similarly impressive numbers.
"I wish all programming decisions were no brainers like this one," AMC senior VP Sharon Tal Yguado said.
No-brainer zombies FTW!

Well, at least Dudley Do-Right upgraded his weapon of choice. But after that first episode, I'll always think of that character as a moron first.

Just watched both episodes and I must say, I'm hooked! Great to see a realistic zombie "movie" show for once, without dumb characters.
The only carbon copy character was the bad guy on the roof, there is always one.
Good story so far and nice characters, can't wait to see more!
By the way, if you guys like zombie movies, I suggest "Dead Set Serious", a 2 hours movie from the 6 episode show "Dead Set". It's the same quality as this show, really amazing.
Just finished watching the second episode. Man that was intense. I'm enjoying this show so far
