Why didn't God get rid of Hitler or Mussolini or Pol Pot?
I'm sure their crimes outweighed Pharoah?
Sometime God shows his mercy in letting people live and to show them as examples of the wrong way to go.
Don't forget in the Egyptian story there were 9 other plagues before the slaying of the firstborn. I think Pharoah had made up his mind not to cooperate. No amount of disaster of death was going to change his mind.
Kthulhu, you are not teachable like a child. Otherwise you would be able to see between the lines and see the loving meaning behind this act of genocide compassion and see that God, your Lord and Saviour, loves you so much He would be willing to kill you horribly to prove it.

that's cuz god is full of mistakes so many things he could have done differently
so many evils in the world he let live then eliminating the big picture
he could have easily just killed Pharoah, Satan, Hitler, Mussolini etc but failed and made each of them live..displaying his absentee presence many follow so blindly

Not only that, but in fact many Egyptians did heed the warnings of Jehovah and some crossed over to the Israelites. If any of those who joined in did so before that night, they may have been spared of the horrible tenth plague.
Granted, that wasn't the case of the majority, but the most important thing to understand is that the ten plagues upon Egypt all proved to be a judgment against the gods of Egypt, especially the tenth, the death of the firstborn.
The ram or male sheep was sacred to the god Ra, so that splashing the blood of the Passover lamb on the doorways would be blasphemy in the eyes of the Egyptians. Also, the bull was sacred, and the destruction of the firstborn of the bulls would be a blow to the god Osiris. Pharaoh himself was venerated as a son of Ra. The death of Pharaoh’s own firstborn would thus show the impotence of both Ra and Pharaoh.
The complete impotence of all the deities was manifested in their being unable to save the firstborn of the Egyptians from death. Jehovah effectively left Egyptian religion in ruins.

Having said that, Jehovah God did kill this haughty Pharaoh at the Red Sea. The book of Psalms indicates so: "And who shook off Pharaoh and his military force into the Red Sea: For his loving-kindness is to time indefinite" -Psalm 136: 15 NWT

let us not forget.......... not one word of this story can be found with in any Egyptian chronicle
But if we are asked to read between the lines of this story........... then mayhap the whole point of the tale is an imaginative way of describing the gradual transition between the multi-god worshiping Israelis and the single god worshiping Israelis........... with the single god slowly leading it's people from the starting point of the transition to the other (but still not a complete religion) point........... mayhap, mayhap........... and if it is just a imaginative way of describing how a peoples found their god........... then NO Egyptian died

It is true God promised it to us, but how could that interest them? Our God is not theirs. There has been Anti - Semitism, the Nazis, Hitler, Auschwitz, but was that their fault ? They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?"
