The CM Punk promo on this week's SmackDown where he introduced Luke Gallos (the former Festus) was edited out of the broadcast in the UK because of advertising laws regarding the Jeff Hardy DVD that was advertised. Instead of the promo, they aired the Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho main event twice.
I downloded this weeks SD! instead of watching it on TV, so I got to see this...
I didn't love Punk's promo with Gallows tonight but I love the concept in general. It just needed something else but I'm not sure what. Gallows looking more vulnerable and child-like, maybe, to show that Punk was taking advantage of this guy. Or maybe an impassioned promo from Gallows backing up what Punk said. Like I said, I loved the idea but the execution just didn't quite swing for the fences like it could have.
I am looking forward to Hardy/Punk @ TLC though
Also, Jericho/Taker was some damn good television, despite the obvious finish. Those were some brutal chairshots, though.

Speaking of Punk;
I think this would be a good way to start a new stable with Punk leading reformed drug users and the like, sort of a Right To Censor meets The Flock. The problem is the lack of faces on Smackdown.
For instance, had Hurricane just lost the loser leaves ECW match instead of Burchill, he could take a few weeks off from TV and come back with Punk as Gregory Helms again. Blame the whole Hurricane thing on some weird med that was prescribed to him for multiple personality disorder or something. This would also be the opportune time to bring back clean-cut Nick Dinsmore to blame Eugene on the drugs if he wasn't a real life drug addict. And Goldust, Jesus Christ...TONS of erratic behavior there over a 15 year period that you could blame on drugs. A straight edge Right to Censor would be awesome with the right people.

This week's Smackdown spoilers (4th December) taped early due to going overseas...
Click to reveal..
Smackdown Results for Friday's show
(1) R-Truth defeated CM Punk via DQ after Luke Gallos (a/k/aFestus) interfered.
(2) Kane defeated Mike Knox with a chokeslam.
(3) Mickie James beat Natalya and Beth Phoenix in a triple threat match to become #1 contender to the Women's Title. Women's champion Michelle McCool and Layla came to ringside to watch. Mickie won after Beth gave Natalya the GlamSlam and Mickie covered Natalya herself. Afterwards, Mickie confronted McCool and Layla, who jumped Mickie until Maria made the save.
(4) Drew McIntyre beat IC champion John Morrison in a non-title match with his double underhook DDT finisher.
Vickie Guerrero came to the ring to the most crowd reaction thus far and the most heel heat for the night. I could barely hear what she was saying. She called out Eric Escobar for an apology. He came out and did a fake apology bit, so she booked a handicap match with the Hart Dynasty.
(5) Hart Dynasty (D.H. Smith & Tyson Kidd w/o Natalya) beat Eric Escobar in a handicap match using a springboard Hart Attack. Vickie slapped Escobar after the match. Unbelievable live reaction for Vickie.
C.M. Punk and Luke Gallos did an interview.
(6) Unified tag champions Chris Jericho & Big Show beat Cryme Tyme (Shad Gaspard & JTG) when Big Show KO'ed Shad with the right hand punch. That was all Shad and Big Show did in the match. Jericho and JTG worked the whole thing.
Earlier, there was a backstage skit with Teddy Long and Batista where a street fight between Batista and Rey Mysterio was announced for next week.
At the end of the show, World Hvt. champion The Undertaker came out, but he was attacked in the aisleway by Batista with a chair. They took it to the ring where Batista spinebustered Undertaker on the chair then posed with the World Title. That ended the Smackdown tapings, which brought us to the dark main event.
This sounds like a fairly fun show. Also

I hope Drew wins the IC strap sometime in the very near future

The only problem I had was that Punk never said Gallows was over prescribed, it was all "drug abuse". Odd that faces are allowed to say everybody should drink smoke and do drugs its only natural but a heel can't suggest some people are over medicated because that would be too inconsiderate... or whatever.
Really getting tired of the faces advocating drug use. Some do have the decency to point out its Punks self richeous attitude they are against but surprisingly few of them do that.

OMG that is so awesome! Sara is easily one of the best female heels around.
On a side note, you notice Jessie is dressing kinda like a Bella the last tapings?

I used to hate baby Sara, but since the heel turn on Vol. 17 ("C'mon Danger, she's just a Cheerleader"~!) SDR has become one of my favorite girls to watch.
I noticed that too, and it adds to the awesome of the pic, only Jessie is about a thousand times better in ring than the Bellas. Jessie is also alot hotter.

I'm going to have to skip RAW this week- not interested in the guest host, and it's opposite a titanic Monday Night Football game- New England Patriots vs. New Orleans Saints.
This. I've been looking forward to this shootout for WEEKS if not longer, and Verne Troyer...eh.

I didn't watch Smackdown last week so i can't answer that either but WWE do push the advertising boundaries a bit.
