Neither do a great many Christian denominations but the Catholic Church does have a problem with that... that was what I was talking about.
It has been the cause of conflict between The Vatican and the Anglican Communion... personally if I were Dr Williams I would tell Benedict to keep his nose out of where it is not wanted.

Apostle Paul forbid women from having a position of authority in the congregation. If someone wants otherwise, they're failing the Scriptural model of true Christianity.

Typical religious tactic. You can't justify a bigotry so you say "other religions are worse than us". Considering religion has granted itself the position of being our moral guardians, a position it has never justified or earned, there seems to be a lot of blame.
Catholics justify child abuse in their church by claiming that other churches have a worse record. Islam justifies violence by claiming there is still resentment over the Crusades...
When will this cycle of blame end and the self-professed "great" religions take some fecking responsibility?!

If you are knowledgable as you say you are then you certainly know that Islam has a far more rigid and stricter doctrine toward its women than the catholic church.It is not bigotry it is a fact, so don't pull that BS on me.
And where does it ever claim that catholics justify child-abuse? It is the priests who have done these terrible things not the faith itself.
