I've been trying to think of this old arcade game I used to play but I can't remember the name. The main character looked like Conan The Barbarian. He had a sword and would swing on ropes and stuff like that. I think this was late 80's or so. Anyone know the name?

Doesn't ring a bell, unfortunately.

On a separate note, I have a new "retro gaming" experience to report. Yesterday, my mother went to a garage sale while I was in the car, and wound up buying a recliner for the living room. I struck up a casual converstaion with the guy running the sale, and mentioned I was a gamer. He went inside his house, and came out with a "model 2" Sega Genesis system, with a 6-in-1 game cart and a copy of "Primal Rage". He sold it to me for $20, saying he;d only played it 10 times or so. The box was in terrible condition, but the system works like a charm. I look forward to grabbing some games for it in the future. smile

Well, it's been a while, but here are my greatest memories of the Super Nintendo...

My best memory is playing Final Fantasy IV (Final Fantasy II in North America). I used to borrow this game from one of my friends and I would play it pretty much non-stop, but before I could beat it, he would ask for it back. The problem is that the stupid thing always erased the files for some reason, so I always had to restart. It's all good though, that's what got me into the Final Fantasy series.

Memory number 2 comes in the form of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Possibly the funnest game to come out on any console, EVER! I cannot count how many times I've beaten this game. I would always go over to my cousin's house on the weekends and we'd play this like there was no tomorrow.

My next memory is a 3 parter. Growing up, I was always a big fan of hockey, so each year, I would ask for an NHL game (which ever happened to be the newest one at the time) only to change my mind early to mid December. The reason for changing my mind was to get each game of the Donkey Kong Country series. I really enjoyed that series and could write several paragraphs on that series alone, but I won't. I actually still play those games to this day!

Those are the only ones I can come up with for now. Stay tuned for my next flashback, as I discuss my greatest N64 memories. That should be posted at some point tomorrow.

Doesn't ring a bell here either. Do you remember anything else about the game?

The main character had a really big sword that he would hold up against his chest like a warrior from the medieval times and the video game had some catchy theme music. I think the video game was pretty popular at arcades in the late 80's or early 90's.
