According to the Wrestling Globe Newsletter, Lilian Garcia was assaulted yesterday on the streets of New York City during a Yankees ticker tape parade. Somebody tried to snatch her cell phone but she held on tightly and was thrown to the floor.
Garcia filed a police report and cops are hoping to catch the culprit from CCTV footage. She is okay now but grazed her elbow during the fall and was pretty shaken up by the ordeal.

I hope this isn't his future. He belongs as champion
Thats what WWE does, they finally make a new star and they push him back down to the mid card.
They are filling time for Punk until they can figure out his next 'real' feud.
I am actually digging prospect of a retro AWA-esque wrestler vs. ref angle between Punk and Armstrong. The public demands Second City Saints vs. Armstrong Bros Elimination Match for Survivor Series. Scott, Steve, Road Dogg & Brad vs. Punk and 3 masked guys

I've no problem with main eventers moving down the card to bring up other talent I just think it was too soon for Punk.

iMPACT! Thoughts
Someone needs to just pull the plug on The Beautiful People. They are beyond done now.
Man, poor Hamada. It pained me watching her dumb down her wrestling for Tara, who I loved in the WWE. Where's Meiko Satomura or Aja Kong when you need them?
Rhino is the worst non-diva actor in pro wrestling.

Two advertised talents will be unable to appear on Sunday's event. The first of which is 1/2 of the SHIMMER Tag Team Champions, Portia Perez.
Plain and simple, she's got the swine flu. We're not even kidding.
She's been sick for the past two weeks, and doctors told her she would no longer be contageous as of this past Tuesday, so we were under the impression she would be good to go in time for this weekend. She wound up with an additional allergic reaction on Wednesday which compounded the situation, and as of Friday evening she was still running a fever, and is considered to still be potentially contageous.
There is a mixed opnion as to what exactly is wrong with her amongst the doctors she has visited during the past two weeks, but whether it's swine flu or anything else, it would be a horrible idea for her to be around the rest of our locker room or the fans this weekend if she could potentially still pass whatever she has along to other people. Energy-wise, she was shot as of Thursday just doing a bit of walking, much less engaging in any sort of athletics.
She told me Friday night that she plans on addressing her health situation, the rest of the SHIMMER tag teams, and the fans in general this Sunday via a video message which will be played on the video screen at the show.
Annie Social will also be M.I.A. this weekend due to a health issue. Her charges Wesna Busic and Melanie Cruise will compete on Sunday without Social at their side, but Annie said she intends to be back as a physical presence at ringside at future events.
It's times like these that we're glad we didn't announce any matches in advance, because the expected card is certainly going to be changed up within the next 36 hours or so.
Despite these setbacks, the SHIMMER crew is determined to give each and every one of you the best show possible on Sunday with a crew of over 25 of the top female performers from around the world in action. We thank all of you for your support and understanding of the situation, and wish both Portia and Annie good health ASAP.
I hope P Squared & Annie Get Well Soon.
So that's no Portia, Annie, Daizee, Daffney, Jen Blake, Madison Eagles or Lexie Fyfe
On the plus side, Melissa FINALLY lifts the SHIMMER Strap tomorrow night

Well that sucks...
Hope Portia will be back soon. At the least Nicole should get some good singles matches in.
