If your particular religious denomination/persuasion didn't exist, in what other denomination might you find yourself - at least to some reasonable extent - at home? ( I suppose if you are atheist or agnostic the question would still work, at least philosophically if not grammatically )

Buddhism because some aspects of it have been successfully embedded in various psychotherapies (I'm in psychology) and because it's politically impotent enough in West not to challenge anybody's political worldview.

I dont consider myself to be part of any specific religion. Altough i´ve been brought up with Chrsitian values so in a sense its a part of my life conserning moral and ethics. I would probably end up with one of the religions in the far east like buddhism for example.

Well, my religious beliefs are something of a mishmosh of Discordianism, Buddhism, Gnosticism, shamanism and Jungian psychology so I have a whole bunch of fallback positions.

Three Buddhists (ok, two and a partial) and one for Judaism so far.
Not enough statistically to base any conclusions on, but interesting.

if I had to give up my deeply held views....... then I think I would go for the Roman idea of what the yearly Christians did....... they thought Christians where all about sexual orgies and cannibalism....... while I could do with out the eating flesh and drinking blood, the daily sex orgies sounds just fine

They see but one thing: we have come and we have stolen their country. Why would they accept that?"

Something a little new agey about respecting life and the environment. I could do without all the hippy invention about stone circles and ley lines that surrounds it though. Unecessary and nothing to do with the ancient religions it claims to be trying to recreate.

The Germanic heathenism of England. Although, I am somewhat inspired by it poetically and ideologically; the heroic legends and wisdom of Woden (a good of warriors but also a good of poetry and knowledge itself) appeal to me.

...Jungian psychology so I have a whole bunch of fallback positions. As a Jungian, I commend you!
