Quote: <Ezra_Pound> Sorry to interrupt, fellas.
I just got hold of two new Natalie Portman flicks - neither of which have been capped for this site.
I'm new to the whole business, and am looking for the best capture device available. I tried the ones on page 1 of this thread, but none of them would work with these codecs.
Anyone know of any?
They have to be free, preferably.
Get back to me ASAP, lads.
Need more info about the flicks. What format are they in now? Are they on DVD, VHS tape, 8mm analog, DV, etc. Or are they computer files such as AVI or MPEG? If AVI, what codec is used? (GSpot codec info appliance will tell you, get it [FREE] here: http://gspot.headbands.com) Different programs will need to be used depending on what form they are in now.

The "Disable see more box on post" controls the top See More Box, the "Disable autoload on bottom page" option controls the bottom see more box.
Be sure to hit the Submit button afterwards.
This will also stop Bulk Image Downloader from loading the "See More" posts.

Quote: dont know if this has been asked before... but how do you remove the "imageshack" tag from de-imageshack
Navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\*your login*\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\h9lj445h.default\extensions\{77492C4A-115B-4b8c-8A2B-44CC3C1A7DF2}\chrome\content
open object.js and comment or delete the following lines
nimg.setAttribute('src', 'chrome://deimageshack/skin/is_banner.png'); nimg.setAttribute('alt', 'The images hotlinked on this page are hosted for free by ImageShack');
These should be lines 287 and 288.
\h9lj445h.default\ may be something else if you have a custom profile in firefox.
Of course you will have to do this every time there is an update to de-imageshack.

What do you guys use to automatically cap a video? I've seen some previews that have a bunch of times and screenshots, but can't seem to find a program to do this. Would appreciate any help.

media player classic
a google search should bring up the most recent version
when it's installed start playing your video and then go to "file" > "save as thumbnails". you can then adjust the various settings. I currently have mine set at "5 rows x 5 columns" "save as jpeg" and "image width 2000 pixels" . It's really just a matter of messing about with the settings to see what you like best though
