I hope it isn't against the rules, if i will start here discussion about music and fans.

First of all...
What is wrong some people, who don't accept others opinions.
If i say for example i don't like some celebrity's look, i can be banned because of that. Because rules don't allow me to say anything about this. I understand the point of it. It is for people who wanna insult others personally. But how is opinion, that i don't like somebody's look, abusive? Or how is abusive my opinion, that somebody's music is too old and empty? Or opinion, that all her/his look and music is total camp. Yes it isn't said in good way, but it is my opinion and only my opinion! So my question is - Are some fans simply blind? Or wanna see only good sides of their idols. Or even don't accept others opinions. Even, if they are negative ones?

In my opinion, it should be allowed to say your negative opinion in this board! Not direct insult, like she/he is.... But opinions about music and look should be tolerated.

Secondly.
I like lots of different kind of music. I don't say that this kind of music is worth listening and this isn't.
To me most important things are - is author talented, is look correct or (and) interesting, is performer talented, with good voice and abilities work properly, is music and lyrics made (recorded) professionally.

Main question is - Should fans be too overprotective?
I mean, should they react to every little critic about their idols? We all are humans and we all have faults! Nobody's perfect.

So what do you think about it?

The postings in the contents section are for people who like the celebrities. If you don't liker her (even if it is only her look and her music) why do you visit her thread? Only to offend peöple who liko her look and her music? I don't get it! I don't think you have downloaded and watched the videos.

See it from the other side: You post some pics and the replies you get are mostly like: "Ugly" or "She's not beautiful and totally overrated". Would you love to make another pic posting here?

The point is that there are places where you can express negative opinions about music or whatever, but those places are NOT the picture forums.

the point was this;

if you don't like someones post, don't post your "opinion" because no one cares what you think about some swedish singing star.
your "opinion" clutters up a thread.
your "opinion" is unwanted.
no one really cares what you like or don't like. post what you like, share it and people will like that.

i happen to think rachael ray is a fat turd but if i posted that in every thread, it would take six months and get me banned...so..that was the first and the last of that...

No, your NEGATIVE opinion is unwanted and clutters up the thread. If you've nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all when replying to threads in the picture forums. As far as I'm aware, you're free to start a thread in the appropriate discussion forum about that - but that isn't what the picture forums are there for.

I have to agree concerning the picture forums...negative opinions and trolling a thread of someone you don't like clutters the threads, and is more useless and makes you look like a immature twat that just wants to stir up sh!t


why waste the time to reply to a post just to say so and so is fat and ugly, if you don't like the celeb or hate her/him fine! but take in account others may like such celebs and don't want to waste time seeing morons trolling it, and argue with there varied opinions...especially if they are the ones who started the thread

this place is to appreciate the post or enjoy the posts of certain celebs by members who taken the time to share the pics with others


if you just wanna hate on them there's other places for that, where you can have a blast insulting or flaming a celeb or other's opinions with negativity

Most of other replays were something like - you're such a imbecile and we are so brilliant. Why argue in pointless topic etc. It isn't pointless argue. Most people are simply so superficial!:D

Yes, because the point of the picture forums is to share content with others who may enjoy it, too. Replies such as those merely show appreciation and gratitude for the hard of the posters.

As i said - No difference what part of this forum is discussion, rules have to be same to all! In the meaning, that if my dislikes and thoughts are against rules, than all pointless "spamming" should be it, as well. I mean those one word replies and hundreds of smilies in one posting!

But about fans and music..
Question is, what is proper reaction of fans to critic?
Is it whining and report to admins and modes, or is it PM to poster or simply answering in same thread?:D;)?

The picture forums are for people to have a good time and enjoy the pictures. If you don't like someone, don't post in their threads. If you want to report someone who has posted something negative in a thread, there's a thread for that here. It's also outlined in the rules, as indicated below:

The reason why you cannot say negative things about a celeb because it always ends with the thread being locked because the fans of that celeb will come to their defense and it will go back and forth. There are plenty of women I don't care for but I don't bother replying. Before I was a Mod I would avoid those threads all together but now I have to read them to see what is being said

All the negatives comments do is instigate verbal arguments back and forth. I have been here long enough to tell you it happens almost 100% of the time

No offense, but I don't even visit the Lady Gaga forums, because I think she's too weird. Therefore, my only reason for going would be to tell other people that I don't like her. But seriously, who give a raggin' flip if I don't like her? To go to a forum about her which is visited mostly by her fans and commenting that I DON'T like her is a bit like visiting your best friend's mom's birthday party to tell a "yo mamma" joke. There may be a place for it, but it ain't there.

It's not a restriction of free speech. This is just a place for fans of certain people to gather around and exchange things they like. This place has thrived BC of fans sharing rather than non-fans complaining. Is there celebrities you like? Go there instead. I know that I personally don't have time to waste talking down other peoples' favorite peoples.

Besides, why should people not like people just because you don't? Are you suggesting they can't like whom they want? I'm not accusing you or attacking you, I'm just saying your time could be better spent adding positives to this world rather than negatives

P.S. MasterfulJohnson is a pretty fair guy, but tough when it comes to the rules. The mods are there to make sure that the boards stay on track, and that track is the friendly exchange of information. I have dealt with Masterful before and found him to be a great person.

Yes, i understand your point perfectly! I don't criticize often, i would say it happens really rarely. But if it happens, than it has to touch me in really strong way! And this time it was that way!

I'm totally agree, that people have to think positively, of course. But sometimes we all have things we don't like.....
No, of course it isn't relevant to spit them out, but it isn't crime, as well.

And... About reporting...
Of course it is obvious, that offending postings should be deleted eventually... But in my opinion, it should be last move. First one should be PM to poster... Whoever can make PM, is it some user or mode etc. It would be reason to change this post by user himself. And then, if user don't respond to PM or warning, should come editing by modes..:);)

PS.I understand, that maybe there are situations, where modes have to react immediately, but my posting surely wasn't this one.

I agree bigproblem, it does seem that some threads are "corrected" at a quick pace, but it isn't personal, it's just luck of the draw.

And about the pointless things here... if it's a "positive" pointless, it stays... negative stuff in the pics part of the forum should go if the wording is strong enough, no exceptions. I have seen numerous accounts deleted bc someone couldn't be nice. And like mama said, if you can't say anything nice...

One Miley Cyrus page was blocked BC it went from posts to discussion of underage celebrities, which didn't belong there. That discussion belongs in the discussion forum.

I was going to create a Gaga vs. Katy Perry page, but decided against it when I realized it would only lead to arguing between the dyed-to-the-blue Gaga and Perry fans. I might have good intentions, but someone would come on and say that Perry is full of $h!t and then it would escalate from there. This place is big enough for everyone to get along, no reason to cause discourse.

Example: one guy tried to make a loosely scientific list of the perfect celeb body, admitting that it was not accurate. It quickly broke into a "c'mon, is THAT girl REALLY rated that?" page. I think that thread lies incomplete.

It's not that this place discourages intelligent discussion, it's just that sometimes intelligent friendly discussion is not always guaranteed.

P.S. I reported incorrect images, a mod deleted the offending images toot sweet. So, some posts are dealt with quickly and completely, at the mod's discretion.
