OK I have been a member here for some time and have tried to post this help message previously but I kept getting frozen out or my explorer quit responding. For the past couple of months whenever I come to Superiorpics my Internet freezes or my browser quits responding. I have to exit by closing the program and then I get the internet explorer message program not responding. If when I log back on I get the message "Restore Last Session" if I do this I usually freeze up in a couple of minutes. I visit many other websites and this is theo nly site where this issue keeps happening. I hope someon can help? I have been staying away from the site for some time now due to this.

it could be a script associated with the site that is crashing your browser. It used to happen to me when I had my Mac. Yes that happened to me here before...it was a script.

Try a few things.
-Delete cache and cookies from IE then try. -Make sure you are using the latest IE release. -Try to download and use a few other browsers to make sure it isn't just the browser that is the issue. -Try manually typing the address to the site and don't use a favorite. -Get rid of IE and use Firefox.

It's generally a ad-based script that is partially blocked by IE that is still trying to run, making IE freeze up. Firefox's built-in popup blocker is apparently better at stopping the scripts on this site.

If using IE 8, turning on InFiltering and setting it to Automatically Block clears up the problems for me.

Hi Duff, With only one instance of IE 8 running while visiting the SP forum, try clickin' the "compatibility view" button next to the address bar (at the red arrow in pic below). After upgrading to IE 8 I found that I had to click that button when visiting some websites like the SP forum. They probably have not been upgraded to run properly with IE8 yet. You won't have to click the Compat. button every time you visit here, IE 8 will activate it automatically everytime you return from now on & change a greyish color for confirmation.

Happened to me on Firefox before the server was redesigned last year. Don't think it has happened since.

It seems this has worked, Beaker! A thousand thanks!
