You can use "mkvmerge GUI" to cut parts out of .mkv files without re-encoding. It's not that comfortable to use but it should do the job on almost every .mkv file.
You have to do the following:
Download mkvtoolnix from [hxxp://www.bunkus.org/videotools/mkvtoolnix/downloads.html#windows] I'd recommend the .7zip archive, so you don't have to install anything Start the mmg.exe Add your .mkv file within the "Input" tab Also, specify the output file name Go to the "Global" tab and select "Enable splitting... after timecodes" Enter the timecodes (hh:mm:ss), where you want to split the file (separated by commas) You have to find out the timecodes by playing the .mkv in your media player Hit "Start muxing" if you're ready
Well, it's not the best solution but if you only need a few parts it should work fine this way. Since mkvmerge just splits the video, you have to delete the not needed parts.
Note: This splits the original file into "Save me" parts and "Don't Save" parts. After it's done you have to separate them and delete the unwanted parts.
Guys i had a great add on to Firefox where you could suck threads of all images even specifying page ranges to start and end with. Sadly my pc broke so had to set up a new one and cant remember the name of the add on.
