Only days before Manchester City had a £30m bid for Terry rejected, the Blues defender and Eastlands manager Mark Hughes stayed at the same hotel complex in Dubai.

New Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti will seek face-to-face talks with Terry as the Italian officially takes charge at Stamford Bridge on Monday morning.

Chelsea are willing to sell captain John Terry to Manchester City, if the Eastlands club offer £40m for the England defender.

If City fail in their bid to sign Terry, Hughes will turn his attentions towards 31-year-old Barcelona defender Carles Puyol.

Manchester City look set to sign Bayern Munich's Brazilian defender Lucio after appearing to miss out on John Terry.

Manchester United have an agreement in place with Bordeaux to sign 20-year-old winger Gabriel Obertan, according the French club's president.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is keeping tabs on Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure amid growing concerns over the fitness of Owen Hargreaves.

Arsenal target Felipe Melo has dealt the Gunners a blow by signing for Juventus from Fiorentina.

Real Madrid director general Jorge Valdano says the £35m figure they have been quoted for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso means they are close to pulling out of any deal to sign him.
Good. Wank3rs.

The Spanish club have spent about £170m this summer but the £69m asking price for Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is one step too far and could open the door for Chelsea to sign the French international.

But Real Madrid have agreed a deal with Ribery and he will become a 'galactico' next summer.

Manchester City are preparing a third bid for Chelsea skipper John Terry. When left-back Wayne Bridge arrived at Eastlands from Stamford Bridge in January, he gave City reason to believe centre-back Terry could be tempted away from the Blues.

Terry is upset Chelsea have not been in contact with him since City's recent £30m bid for him and wants talks with Blues owner Roman Abramovich.

Arsenal fans have launched their own Michael Owen-style brochure in a send-up trying to sell striker Emmanuel Adebayor to any interested club.

Arsenal have been handed a lifeline in their pursuit of Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo. Juventus submitted a cash-plus-player offer for the Brazilian but Marco Marchionni, the Juve winger supposed to be heading in the opposite direction, has rejected terms and refused to move.

Arsenal are closing in on the signing of St Etienne midfielder Blaise Matuidi.

Sebastien Bassong says Arsenal have made an approach to sign him, but the French defender blames Newcastle's uncertain future for blocking his exit from St James' Park.

Barcelona will sanction striker Samuel Eto'o's move to Manchester City to raise the £40m needed to try and lure midfielder Cesc Fabregas from Arsenal.

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola admits the club are no nearer to resolving the future of Samuel Eto'o, who has yet to respond to an offer of a two-year contract extension. Guadiola confirmed Barca have also made an offer for Valencia striker David Villa.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is weighing up a move for Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Chelsea have warned Inter Milan they will not get Ricardo Carvalho on the cheap as they look to fund a move for Porto defender Bruno Alves. Chelsea also hope to beat Real Madrid to the signing of Bayern Munich forward Franck Ribery.

Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has met with John Terry and believes the defender is happy to stay at Stamford Bridge despite talk of a £30m offer from Manchester City. The Blues plan to make Terry their best-paid player.

Man City are increasingly confident of tempting Terry to Eastlands despite Chelsea's offer of a new contract which would make the 28-year-old England captain their highest-paid player.

Man City have given Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o 24 hours to sign for them or miss out on becoming the best-paid player in English football.

Barcelona have stepped up their pursuit of Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas after club president Joan Laporta claimed signing the £40m-rated Spaniard is high on their agenda this summer.

Fabregas is at the centre of a potential bidding war between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Arsenal appear to have missed out on Fiorentina midfielder Felipe Melo and manager Arsene Wenger now wants to sign Ever Banega, Valencia's 21-year-old Argentine midfielder.

I'm still not sure why they would be happy to see him go.

After pulling the plug on a deal to bring Samuel Eto'o to the club, Manchester City are also set to miss out on Carlos Tevez, who is in no rush to finalise his future with Chelsea reportedly also interested in the Argentine striker.

Alternatively, City will tie up a deal for Tevez before jetting out on their pre-season tour of South Africa on Wednesday.

City will sign Tevez and are also set to increase the stakes in their pursuit of Chelsea defender and captain John Terry with a third bid worth £40m.

Manchester United have targeted Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero and are willing to offer £30m plus Portuguese winger Nani to land the Argentine.

Atletico Madrid president Enrique Cerezo says Man Utd have not put in any offers for Sergio Aguero.

Arsenal can rest easy this summer after Russian forward Andrey Arshavin denied any interest in a move to Champions League holders Barcelona, and big-spending Real Madrid insisted they are not pursuing midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

Liverpool Manager Rafa Benitez is interested in Wigan midfielder Lee Cattermole - the subject of a failed £5m bid from Sunderland on Friday - as a possible replacement for Xabi Alonso and Javier Mascherano, who have been linked with moves away from Anfield.
REPLACEMENT! are you fcuking kidding me!rofl

This transfer window has proven that the sports writers no nothing with the rubbish they write.
