Beyond that, I don't "believe" anything. I currently accept, as the almost certain truth, the generally accepted science on the subject of the earth and its age.

Scientific opinions seem to come and go, don't they? There are qualified experts on both camps of this issue.

How come?

If both groups of accomplished experts hold diametrically opposed points of view, how objective are they? I'm thinking as much as the pockets of the ones paying their respective research, perhaps?

I am not interested nor concerned with Global Warming issues. But if you catch my drift, this is but a token of the "objectivity" of the scientific community.

The same community that mocks those who don't take as sacred their every utterance.

There are people who take Genesis as literally true. Some of them have genuine qualifications and think they can prove the existence of their god in a test tube. They also think that the planet is nut much more than 6,000 years old. They are, like climate change deniers, a very small minority. And like climate change deniers they make a dispropotionate amount of noise.

It is statements like this that show that most Global Warming deniers have no clue what Global Warming causes.

People don't understand that just because the earth's temperature is rising, the weather doesn't get hotter.

Surface temperature can bring a huge change in weather patterns and could potentially lead to snow in the middle of the summer.

The most notable effect we'll be seeing, or are already seeing, is that dry areas are going to get drier while wet areas will be wetter.

Africa and Australia have been plagued with droughts even to the point that rivers have dried out that used to supply whole villages and towns with water. Australia is really getting it bad in the Darwin Basin, where the river that supplied local farmers with water is completely dried out.

So, again, Global Warming does NOT cause the weather to become hotter.

I think the Global Warming deniers only refuse to see the evidence in Global Warming because that way they can keep their ignorant lifestyle that they've been living in this country for so long.
Nobody walks to the store, everybody drives everywhere. There's poor public transportation unless you're in a big city.
